From 4th to 5th gear on my new 2014 GLK350

I got a new 2014 GLK350 a couple days ago for my wife.(less than 100miles on it)
I drove it around over this weekend and I felt some jerking between the 4th and 5th gear. I've tried turning on/off the eco mode but it seemed no different. Is this normal or should I take it back to the dealership to get it checked? Also how do I keep air recirculation mode on without ac on? Please advise.

Were you able to fix the issue? I am having an exact problem from 4th gear to 5th jerking. Please let me know if you were able to fix it?

If you did not just buy the GLK and it had been maintained per schedule you could try resetting the transmission:

If you have Keyless Go button inserted:

1) foot off the brake during the whole procedure
2) press the Keyless Go Start button once
3) press the accelerator to the floor and hold for 5 seconds
4) press the Keyless Go Start button twice to turn off the ignition
5) release the gas pedal
6) Wait at least two minutes before starting the car.

If you do not have Keyless Go or do not have the button inserted:

1) ignition switch to position 1
2) push the gas pedal to the floor and hold for 5 seconds
3) turn the ignition switch to the off (0) position
4) release the gas pedal
5) wait at least two minutes before starting the car.

Then find a place where you can accelerate gently to 50 MPH from 1st gear in S (sport) mode and then slow without breaking until the vehicle shifts back down to 1st gear. Stop, turn off the engine, get out, lock the doors. Wait 5-7 minutes. Do this twice more.

If the 4-5 upshift is still harsh after a couple of days use, the transmission should be scanned for problems.

A 2014 Glk with only 100 miles on it ? How is that possible? If so you need to change every fluid now before even driving it. Coolant , Brake, TRANSMISSION! , engine oil. Differentials . I wouldn’t even ask here with not changing transmission fluid and filter . And be prepared for leaks leaks . And that could be the issue now , old seals gaskets unused don’t do well. You could loose in many areas that will ruin that Glk in a day . You need to monitor everything for leaks until you know what you have . FCP euro will ship you what you need , I would not trust just any mechanic to buy my trans fluid or others , there are cheaper products but you don’t know what your getting . What kind of dealer ship sells a Glk with 100 miles on it ? Get someone to do a scan to see if it’s 100 miles . I think it’s recorded in several areas of the computers . Possibly transmission has a record of miles . Motor oil might be new and look new , but what is brand is it? Change it. Mobil. 1 0/40 mb spec . Filter get something on Fcp site , it is a fleese type of material . How do you know it has transmission fluid in it ? If it’s a MB dealer , well their prices are like 2/3 times higher for all service, and fluid changes, but brake and transmission might be best by them

It's very possible, because if you look at the post header you're responding to ... that post was created: Dec 23, 2013 | 02:40 PM

And that poster (user) was last seen Apr 7, 2014 07:24 PM after about eights posts.
... so yea, a 2014 bought new in 2013 with about 100 miles is reasonable. 🙂

The new user, @sherali , resurrected this very old post/thread (11 years old).

NBD. I did it too. That’s why I have a blank reply sitting there. Both December, so what’s 10 years between friends? Now let’s see if the newbie comes back to read my reply.
I know exactly where to look, but I’m not going into it unless I see some interest and a serious DIYer.
