Working a deal on a 250- Opinions Please
When my GLK came out the lease on fairly basic one was 499 a month (don't remember for how many month). Loaded like mine would have been 600-650 a month...I believe still with some money down.
I financed mine (44k sale price - invoice price) for 5.5 years with 10k down at 2%, so my payments were 625 a month. In 5 months the car will be paid off, and it's worth about 30k (25k if I go to trade-it in). So the car cost me $375 a month and I had an option to sell it at any time or keep it if I want to.
Given complexity of the emission system to meet the US regs, I would be surprised if diesel remains reliable and hence retains its value better than the gasoline one.

I am just looking at the used prices on autotrader.com. Yes, I realize that you have to pay somehow for better fuel economy, so the urea injection system is prone to issues as the vehicle ages vs. the gasoline model, since it doesn't have these parts to fail. Let's not discuss the AdBlue failures of the 2014 models.

Buy it, if it doesn't cause troubles keep it as long as you wish to. You can always go and trade it in or sell in private market at any point in time and not be forced to buy/re-lease car in exactly 24 months.
There are certainly benefits to leasing when you want to avoid the residual value risk. But in many leases it's so low to begin with that lease company always makes money on the residual.
In addition to the "lease payment" the one pay in most states takes care of apprpriate taxes for that state and 1st year registration - although in most states not 2nd year registration fee's.
There can be a "sweet spot" of advantage depending on MB's lease structure at time of delivery - at 27 or 30 months - with the understanding that MB "often" has early out available moving forward to another MB 3-4 months early - "sometimes" depending on model forward can be up to 5-6 months.
Current diesel owners do "claim" BT's "hold value more strongly than gas" - but frankly this has more to do with MB can and often does set residual a touch higher than gassers - which is elective by Mercedes financial.
Prepaid maintenance cost's for a lease can be a bargain so to speak - since the cost of a prepaid maintenance plan is a capitalized cost - so your "cash" cost paid in the lease is actually residual fraction.
I could've gotten more discounts had I haggled for a little longer. So you can definitely do much better than what you've been quoted.....
Also - MB has had deals with "United Freq Flyers" programs giving =Approx $4K off MSRP and applies for ML& GLK models......
Hope this helps
Sounds like a great deal. You will love it.
Mine is equipped the same, plus metallic paint. I didn't do quite as well, considering I had a trade-in with some equity. It's kinda hard to figure, but I got about 7-8% off MSRP.
