A lot of folks like micro fiber towels. To me there are too many products on the market to say which are good and/or scratch less. The "good ones" are normally more expensive.
I personally use 100% cotton toweling (hand towel sized but square.) I wash the used toweling in liquid detergent when done. One big 100% cotton bath towel seems to dry off most of the water.

BTW if you take it to a hand wash/detail shop make sure the guy using the buffer knows what he's doing. A friend had his paint damaged by an over aggressive detail shop.
Once clean BEST to use a new tech sealant - check Amazon for Einszett Glanzwax (Blue Top) - objective light/even coat one 4" section at a time - drie to haze - let "cure" 30 min - then wipe off - good for wheels and running boards too.
Sealant "fills in" the micro edges of the nano clear coat - then with sealant surface (with or without a carnuba wax top layer - MUCH/MUCH better water/crud resistance..
Glanzwax like $20 Amazon Prine - good for 5-6 application 6 months apart on a GLK...
