OEM or WeatherTech Floor Liners?

Hi, as a new owner of 2014 GLK350, would like to get opinions on the MB OEM and WT all weather floor liners (not the rubber floor mats).

What is the main difference? Which one is better, if there are differences?
Will the OEM one still fits 2014 model? Thanks

My friend and I both bought 2014 GLK250s. He bought the OE floor liners and I bought the Weathertech. Reason I did not buy the OE ones, was that they only came in a set of 4 and I didn't see a need for the rear ones.

The liners are essentially identical other than for the logos. MB ones were only available in black, but Weathertech had several choices.

I have the WeatherTech. Love them and have them in all my cars through the years.

I have the oem RUBBER mats. IF I were planning to take the MB GLK250 B/T and other SUV's to more mud and sand places and activities (we do winter snow ski), I would have probably opted for the (more expensive)Weather Techs. It is almost a no brainer, in that you can pop them out, shoot them with water from a hose and put them back in the vehicle.

So do I, and you can also 'pop out' the OEM mats and do the same. I too snow ski, plus get a bit of off road and dirt. I evaluated and opted for the OEM mats. I have Weater Tech in another car and I find them obtrusive. And they don't say "Mercedes-Benz"!!!!

Just put the WeatherTech mats and tray in my MY'15 GLK350. They fit great, though the passenger side mat did not have the button snaps like the driver's, but there is not interference with them. I like that the tray is open to the passenger side pocket and I'm taking a lot of stuff in and out on a daily basis with no issues of sliding around. The mats are a bit chunky, but for as much in and out as I do, they've already caught a lot of sand/pebbles/dirt. Totally worth it to me.

That is exactly why I want the WT liners, not the rubber all weather mats, for winter snow.

Good to know the OEM version fits the 2014 models. That is one of my concern as the dealer no longer offer the liners as one of the accessories, but only the rubber ones.

I assume you are referring to the OEM rubber mats, not the liners?

I have OEMs. Both mats and cargo liners. No issues with them. I spend at least 40 days in the mountains year round w/ snowboards and bikes. I do not feel I need a tray type of mat. The idea is nice and if they were readily available (ie, go pick them up at a store) I would probably get WT. Since i have to wait for them to come in, i could not be bothered.

Our local dealer had the OE floor liners in stock, or if not, they were here next morning. My friend bought them for that reason because Weathertech were back ordered 2 weeks.

Weather tech all the way. My dealer has them made for them and they have the Mercedes Benz name in place of the Weathertech.

Like the other posts mentioned, there is a version that may be still available by the dealer, which is made by weathertech for MB. It is my understanding that they discontinued that for the last couple model years. So I want to find out if those OEM tray style liners will still fit a 2014 model.

It may be just personal preference. Having the MB logo is a plus to me.

So your dealer still have the tray style OEM floor liners available, which means they should fit the 2014 without problem. I will check with my local dealers to see. Thanks
