Service B Message!

Service B Message!
Hi All,
Been a lurker in this forum even before I bought my GLK. Tried to search around prior to creating a new thread but the only related issues I found were only what MB performs on a service B and how to reset the service indicator.
Anyways, I had my local shop change the oil, check the brake pads, and change the air filter on my GLK about 2 months ago. I have not driven the car past 2000 miles and now I am getting the service B due in 20 days message. I tried to manually reset the message but I get a 'Full Service Could Not be Carried Out' error? Any tips on how to get past that one? Don't want to spend another $$$ for this if possible. I have read somewhere that driving around could help get past through this error otherwise I would need the dealers sds machine to reset this message? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You should be able to reset it any time.....double check that you are following all steps. I just tried it w/1800 to go and all went ok...just need to remember to change oil soon and do another reset.

turns out I did it right the first try! I initially thought it dint reset, so I kept trying hence the error message. I just had to pull out the key and start the engine and the message was gone. Thanks for the help though!

Similar Issue with C450

Having this same issue with my 2017 E300; I always have the oil changed at the Mobil 1 near my home; no issues until today. Went with about 2,300 miles prior to the actual miles, warning was telling me it was 24 days overdue.
Went ahead and had the service performed, Wife doesn't like the warning, so now I have a new warning;
Full Service Could Not Be Performed
And
Service B Overdue by 30,200 miles
Called Mercedes and they will not reset the feature unless they change the Oil along with all the other services they do for Service B!!!! Getting ready not to own a Mercedes.....
????? How do I fix this.

I have a 2016 C450 and had a similar issue. I performed the Service A myself within the allotted duration and went to reset the service indicator. It did it fine then a service B indicator came on stating I was 14,100 miles overdue. That was not the case. I tried resetting it and it stated full service could not be carried out. I even tried cancelling the previous reset and that didn’t work. I tried several more times and gave up. Over the course of several days I kept trying and got the same message. Finally after about 30 miles of driving I tried it again and it worked. I don’t know why the service B overdue indication came on right after I performed a Service A reset on time.

I ended up taking my car in for B service to a company called "Foreign Affairs" here in West Palm Beach, FL. They are an authorized MB service location; $300 vice the $800 at the dealer. They fixed the service lights. I'm guessing the light has some other reset process than just thru the buttons on the steering wheel. Let us know what you find out
