Front number plate
Hi to all,
purchased a slightly used 250 Bluetec to my wife, so happy with it !
2014 and first service just done.
Where we bought it from, they didn't use front plates.
I brought it here to NYC and yesterday received my plates.
And now wondering how and where to fit the front plate.....
Should I just screw it to front bumber, with any screws, copying the location from other GLKs?
Or do I have to get specific brackets from MB dealer ?
Already have the FlexyFrame purchased to protect a bit.
Mainly , is there plenty room behind the plastic bumber to screw it straight on to it, or are there specific spots for screws that I can't find without the GLK platebracket from MB ?
Thank You in advance.
Waiting for the snow season.... to finally test this GLK in snow !!!

Bought ours new directly from the dealer so the front plates were already installed.
I think the OEM mount uses sheet metal screws right into the bumper cover; just line it up and mark the holes...

contact your local dealer and ask about: License Plate Moulding.

I have this. http://www.gominigo.com/MB.html
Yeah, I once used one of those on an Infiniti coupe; they work pretty well.

Thanks for all the tips !
I was lucky , the original plate installation bracket was in the car!
Took me 5 mins, and all is OK now.
It simply pushed into those 2 holes in plastic grille, and snapped in place. Then I just mounted my plate in to that plasticbracket with 2screws.
I was a bit worried of that bracket staying there in place with those 2 clips only, but it seems to be holding just fine.

Actually, mine came with the plate already mounted AND a bracket sealed in plastic wrap under the cargo area; I'd forgotten about that...
