Spy Shots: Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class

The Mercedes GLK is dying. In its place we are getting the new GLC-Class. Now don't be alarmed if you are a fan of the smaller SUV -- the name may be disappearing, but the new GLC is the same GLK you have grown to love, just with a new badge on the back.

if I wanted an SUV that looks like a dinner roll, I would've gotten the Q5.....

2014 GLK 250 BlueTEC

ML and R class mix? Weird rear hump and the headlights ugly as hell. Reminds me of the new Jeep with thin lights that look terrible... Oh well, I'm happy with my GLK.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Not a fan of the looks. Hopefully the AMG variant will help.

I miss the edgy design of MB, not really digging this whole melted look.

Here's what MB is thinking... People that like the square/edgy look have already bought GLKs... now let's make a rounder SUV to appeal to the Q5/MDX buyers....

release date - any idea?

I am waiting for GLC to come out. Like the new C class interior. Even though I like the boxy GLK don't want to get a end of cycle product. Current car won't handle one more winter, any idea when the GLC expected ?

Ok so what are the engine choices for NA? Will MB be marketing the same engines like they are doing for the W205? 4cyl turbo GLC250 and a GLC450 Amg Sport line? Or will they have a GLC400?

Saw the pictures of the new GLE from the auto show. It continues with the distinctive roof & C post design as in the earlier models. It is so disappointing to see the GLK replacement with the Honda-esque roof style on the new GLE. Not for us! Wife has already given it the thumbs down. Something was muttered like "if I want a jelly bean car I will buy a Hyundai or a Lexus."
