Please check your Owner's manual - if you set Comand correctly - you have digital compass in the upper bar of COMAND in any screen/function - you can call up COMAND screen compass as well - and in the cluster you can call up Nav info which gives you compass there, real slick on that one so you should check it out .. so, in essence, you have THREE compasses... hope you're happier now..
IIRC, the compass in the mirror is for "base" cars with NO package. So a car with P1 or Multimedia wouldn't get the digital compass in the mirror because it's integrated with COMAND.

pretty lame if thats true - why not have it in both places? so pay more and lose an extra feature? looks cooler in the mirror glass and easier to see than the command which doesnt stand out
Was perusing the owner's manual and stumbled upon this section on how to set the compass zone and calibrate the onboard compass for my 2012 GLK350.
