Whistling Fan
No matter, I think that it would be fool hearty and could create more issues, Like a creaky, rattling dash by having it tore apart under warranty.
And are all dash vents fully open ? I remember on one of my previous cars, when one of the dash vents was not fully closed, so left open for few millimeters, it made a high tone whistle on high fan speeds.
Ofcourse, can be something else too, leaves from trees inside the inlet or something like that.
There were problems in some C class of the control door actuators breaking, but I think that was redesigned.
If not the motor try eki912's advice to narrow it down to a particular vent. Don't forget the rear ones.
As an aside, if there's one thing I've learned about plastic parts with press fit in cars is it's much better to remove and replace them in summer rather than when the pieces are more cold/brittle/stiff during winter, for example.
