Hi Chris I have 2010 GLK 350 and I got facelifted tail lights and I got everything repined as it should be and I’m wondering if I can use a generic but still good diagnostic tool to get rid of error codes forever for the led tail lights. Or do I have to use a Mercedes-specific tool? Please help. Oh and can you see if you can find similar designo seats please please please please. Thanks-a-Ton!!
Got the new Designo interior today inc facelift door panels. Real leather in soft and no darn tex mex ****. Cost for all was $1500 Totally Worth it.
And the door panels with the Wood that I like so much compared to the ugly ALU. And leather with stiching.

They are SUPER rare...I found one set in 5 years search. I have no clue what the part numbers are. Need a VIN from a car that had this from factory to find that.

Awesome! Do you have any pictures of the back of the dash for the ambient lighting? Are they LED's that shine through a fiber optic strip? Where are the bulbs and the hookups? Thanks!
my data card shows that I have ambient lighting option installed on my 2013 GLK350 but the led on the wood panels on the instrument panel are very dim and are hardly noticeable

Jaime from Boston. You might remember me when I was inquiring about Designo seats for my GLK about 2yrs ago. I have the US version GLK. I'd like to convert them from red taillight turn signals and use the amber turn signal socket (PY21W). On my GLK, there's the 7 pin main harness - on pin #6 there a wire connected to it, and it goes to that socket and bulb. I bought new bulbs and tested them to see if it'll work with a 9v battery prior to installation and they work. I put the bulbs on, locked the car, used turn signals and only the top blinker works. How can we program this to have the turn signals go to the 6th pin on the harness? I know the turn signals can be changed from 3 blinks from 1, 2, 3 (default setting), 4 or up to 5 blinks.
I could, but since pin#5 has both brake and turn signal (upper red light), once I re-pin (swap pin #6 with #5) the amber will now be my (both) brake and turn signal light.
It will look like this (Click on link below). I've drawn and made a diagram of what each does and how it'll look like if I do what you're suggesting. By factory, pin 6 is disabled. Do you know how to code this to enable this? I'd assume it's as similar and easy to changing from 3 blinkers to 4 or 5. I just don't have the software LOL
The only software I have seen so far that's all over youtube, is called vediamo. Plenty of videos of people customizg their cars such as manual DRL's to have all DRL's (bumper DRL and headlight DRL's turn on at simultaneously). Aside from having or needing the vediamo software, you also require some hardware. You need the cables that'll connect to your car (OBD 2 adapter).
