Seeking a unicorn - GLK250
So I've been on the hunt for about 4 months for a CPO 14 or 15 GLK250 BlueTEC and I'm pretty specific on a few things I need to have. I'm starting to wonder if I'm seeking a unicorn. I had yet to find a single one of these with Harman/Kardon audio and KeylessGO in the same car. I can't come up with a reason why, but can you not have these two things in the same vehicle? I can always add the hitch if the car doesn't have it from factory, and the wood trims can be changed to black ash if I really can't stand the burlwood. Am I crazy or should I stay diligent? Black interior, hitch, Prem Pkg 01, KeylessGO, H/K audio. Does it exist?

I saw a fully option 15 250 with HK, lighting system, oem tow hitch and "distronic!" Package. I wanted to trade my 14 for it but it was a diesel and in red:/

I specifically didn't want the keyless but the option was there. Mine was a factory order. What I truly didn't want was a sunroof. No option to remove at the time. There was a one week window in manufacture where I was able to exclude the sunroof from a USA car. I think they gave me a Canadian car but I got everything else exactly as I wanted, and by the same 'Canadian' accident, I also got standard tires. I didn't want runflats but this was a production miscue. It was not an option for a USA car. Got the Harman-Kardon, factory hitch, and Mercedes later provided me with the inflatable spare which was NOT included to start with.

Keyless entry, or KeylessGO? Do you have push-button start and the ability to unlock doors simply by putting your hand on the door handle with the keyfob in your pocket?

KeylessGO and Harman/Kardon
Sorry to beat a horse to death - but once again, it seems like there are no GLK250 BlueTEC diesels with H/K audio *AND* KeylessGO. I have not, in months of searching, found a single one. It's like these two seemingly unrelated options can't be ordered together. (Or literally zero have been for CPO sale)

GLK owners like theirs so much it will not be in the used car market yet. It's an icon vehicle.

Not sure why there are none out there, but when we purchased our 14 glk250 both were available and we got both. Maybe not many ordered that way for the dealership. When we went to check out the models there were none with distronic or the bi-xenon headlights all had halogens....

when I acquired my BT250 I told them the specs I wanted, (distronic, light pkg, keyless go, P1 P2), my dealer found the car in Texas and routed it to Florida. The options you want are a unique combination and therefore much less likely to have been built as you want.

I like to use a buyer who works auctions until he finds exactly what I want. The buyer I use is incredibly picky and works the Dallas auctions. I usually drive back to Cali with the find. Dallas has clean cars, a big market and lower prices than Cali. I use ecarhouse.com and have bought 6 cars from him. You might try this.

Your better off without the toys. A great majority of the problems that folks have with modern cars are with the electronic gadgets. I ordered mine with but one option. The Becker map pilot hook up in the glove box. Helps with the bottom line as well. Mine was $34K out the door at the Sindelfingen plant.

I recently traded my 2014 GLK Blue Tec for a 2014 E3504 Matic. A major factor in my decision was the upcoming enactment of the Clean Fuels Bill in Oregon. From what I can find out is that it would require more ethanol, or bio-diesel blends. My 2014 manual said no more than 5% bio-diesel is allowed. Just an FYI as the OP lives in Portlandia.

I'm thinking it's more trouble than it seems.... Door handles have sensors which require wires which I would not expect to be there. I'm also thinking the sensor for the key (less) start will also not be in place, probable replacement of the starter switch would also be needed and not sure if the wiring would be different for that either.... Of course I've been proven wrong on many an occasion... Just ask my wife....

more trouble than it's worth to retrofit that option. (ask my wife about me being wrong all the time!)

I think you'll find there are a lot of sensors that will need changing in the doors and the ignition switch is overly complex. It is serialized to the ECU and requires a series of handshakes with other systems (fuel, transmission, engine, and more) before it authorizes the start sequence.
My wife's Lexus has a keyless system and while it's handy it introduces a new set of unforeseen problems. The key gets accidentally lost while driving. It signals with my wifes key, not mine - she steps out of the car for a minute and the car panics. The key is out of range in the wrong place - a back pocket, the purse on the floor or in the back. My favorite is the key gets left behind after starting up the car - the car's complaint missed and when we shut it off we can't restart it. It's a nice feature but it has issues.

Hen's teeth. If you haven't already made the jump, compromise where you have to and buy the best car you can. With VW buybacks starting to hit stride, I believe there will be a number of diesel-seeking buyers with money to burn, angling for a dwindling pool of clean late-model diesel vehicles. We are one such buyer, and bought our 2015 before the VW buybacks commenced in order to have a better selection. Now that VWs are going back and cash is flowing, finding any late-model diesel will be al challenge.

I bought one and it was delivered last Saturday. I skipped the HK audio (frankly it's not that great) and got a brown with brown leather. It's pretty great.

Nice choice! Brown GLKs are pretty rare around here - I've only seen one. It's a lovely bronze-brown that sets off the cars lines, IMO.
