TPMS sensors
Shopping for new tires for my new alloys.
As my car has the TPMS system, need the sensors too.
Noticed there are cheap aftermarket ones available ,
not going to buy those.
But seen also several different types & frequencies FS.
What is the recommended brand, correct type ( frequency ? ) and where to get them ?
Will go to MB if that is the only 100% sure place.
But wouldn't mind purchasing elsewhere if I get them a lot cheaper, which I think I will.
Edit : for MY 2014 250 BT.

You probably don't need the sensors. You can get new stems for cheap at your MB dealer. If I remember about ~$20 . Only replace if they don't work. The stems will deteriorate but the sensor is still good.

Thanks. Do you mean taken off the car and then the tire taken off the rim, or just taken off the car for ease of unbolting the stem. In other words, you didn't have the get at the part of the TPMS that's inside the tire in order to replace the stem?

Is this common .... I went yesterday to Walmarts tire shop in Long Island.
They have the tire I need available at a price that seems too good to be true, so I took a day off from office, my motorcycle out from garage ( as it was gorgeous yesterday here in NYC ) and drove to Farmingdale, LI.
Spoke to receptionist as I knew they do not have them in stock there. I simply thought I go, order and pay them and drive there next weekend to get them done.
But but but, they said they do not touch MBīs !
They said I can order them, pick them up but they donīt do installation on MBīs.
Also mentioned Jaguar and some others that hey donīt touch.
Is this just their policy on that location or common practice everywhere ?
And should I go to better/proper tire shop for my tires, instead of looking for a good deal from big chains ?
