Hey Guys,
I'm in the process of changing all of my interior light, license plate light bulbs to white LED bulbs. Does anyone know a good place to buy these bulbs? There are many that are either too long to fit the license plate, or might trigger errors on the dashboard.
I'm looking for someone that has done this before so I don't end up buying bulbs that don't work for whatever reason. Any source would be helpful.
Thanks!

A question, why change them? Your light now is 2800-3000 Kelvin, many led are 3500-4000 K and harsh lighting, if anything I’d go to a warmer 2500k light. And I don’t think you’ll find 2500K led.
And most importantly there is CRI index, color rendition, led still can’t match halogen , which is 100 cri. Low CRI led under 86 will make your skin and colors look bad, and I doubt you’ll get a CRI rating on car led. You do now for home and commercial led. But only in the last few years has it improved . Cheap car led will lag behind.

I went with Phillips interior T10 LEDs in a warm white 4000k and factory Mercedes LED interior lights. They 98% match in color. I really recommend the Philips, they come with 12 year warranty and they stand by their products.
4000k isn’t a warm color, factory is no colder than 3000k, warm white it 2300-2800 K. Anything above 3400k starts to look harsh, Maybe your warm white are much lower than 4000K

I'm just going by the Philip's packaging. I had the 6000K before and they are NOT easy on the eyes, these were an acceptable hue.

From what i understand. about the light colour, 4k is still warm white. I used to sell led light bulbs at a car part store, lots of people will go for 6k colour. It looks great from a distance , but it is little bit too harsh on the eyes.
Give a search on youtube, u will find lots of plp done it to there w204, which is almost identical to ours. This will give u an idea how to take apart the interior and the outcome. At the end of the day, if you dont like it, u can always change it back. And the entire mod shouldn't cost more than$50 anyway. Just make sure whenever u order ur led bulbs, order the one with the canbus built-in to prevent the error code on dashboard

4 k is just not a warm color, that’s why I won’t consider Led inside the vehicle, my house leds are 2700k, just like warm incandescent lights. I also use 3000 in areas like kitchen.

I have special H15s for your high beams if youre interested. No wires, no decoders, no flickering. They're way brighter than any other H15 youre going to find. Let me know if interested.
I just tried these and am getting an error when used in my license plate lights. What year is your Glk?

Guys,
Anyone have any recommendations for led bulbs that are short enough to fit in the license plate? I just bought 3 sets and they are all way too long for the lid to close. The Sylvania Vevo that everyone mentioned fits good but gives me errors on dash.
please, any recommendations for short led bulbs would be appreciate it.
Thanks,
Wayne
