Entertainment System / Radio Not Working Or No Sound

I posted this question on benzworld but it seems like there is way more traffic on this forum.
The issue is with a 2011 GLK350. Out of the blue a few months back the radio stopped producing sound. Happened 20 minutes in to a 7 hour drive and wouldn't come back on no matter how many times we reset it. The next morning I started it up and everything worked perfectly. worked the whole way home and was fine for a few weeks. This time it stopped and didn't start again for a few days. Then came back on again and lasted a few weeks again then off.

So I scanned the vehicle and these are the codes that were on. Some codes may be from the blower motor which is being replaced this week. The scanner I used was the Autel MD802
U103812 - stored
B222500 - not checked fault
D017 - stored
D016 - stored
917807 - stored + current
910B15 - stored + current
9D90 - stored
1614 - stored
B21A211 - stored
953D - stored

I am still new to this scanner, but when I copied all of these down I also reset everything and was going to scan it again in a day or so. At the time of the scan the radio was working.

More details on what happens... The radio starts like normal, screen is lit and all the functions seem to work. But no audio comes from the speakers. no matter what option you set it to, no audio. Also sometimes when its not working the screen will reset and reboot. When it comes back to working, everything seems to work perfectly.

If anyone can give me any direction with this that would be amazing. I have done quite a bit of reading into this but haven't come up with a solution. Hopefully the codes will steer us in the right direction.

Thanks

it already has bluetooth. But I'm not going to just start buying parts and hoping they fix it. That's why I posted the codes and asked for help. There is more than 1 'unit' in this vehicle so it would make no sense what so ever for me to go on ebay and start buying them.

Lets see, no sound out of radio. Gee what could be the problem, let me guess, the radio is broken.

so obviously you have no idea how the audio system works in these vehicles so I'd appreciate it if you stopped replying and would let someone that knows what they are taking about chime in.
but under your logic, you want me to replace the screen, nav module, antena module, Bluetooth module, central audio gateway, amplifier as well as any other associated modules that are on the fibre optic loop? Show me the link for 250 smart ***.

patiently waiting for your response since everyone says the amp is located on the trunk, but you know best.

No I wouldn’t be rude enough to recommend you replace the Bluetooth , Nav module , audio gateway , screen , antenna, etc etc etc, the standard Audio 20 does not have the amp in the trunk it’s in the head unit, which I just found 3 on eBay for 150 US$ and less , but no I’m not going to post them to a smart ***. I think your way is best , spend another few months trying to pinpoint the issue, I bet it’s a bad capicitor on the power amp section, let us know how it goes

I don't have the standard audio 20. It has fibre optics, and an amp in the trunk

Bret,
In case you haven't learned yet, MB forums are not like other car forums. People on here dont posses a lot of knowledge, they mostly discuss which repair shop to take it to, or just replace parts. I'm not knocking the site, but dont expect a lot of feed back on these types of things.

Not sure which mercedes forum your talking about but I've been on here and benzworld for over 10 years and have had a ton of help. There are tons of people on these forums that have endless knowledge that are always willing to help...
