That topic has been covered multiple times in this forum. Use the Search function for "aux battery" and it brings up half a dozen threads about location and measurement. If you get in the habit of using search, you don't need to start new threads on something that's been covered multiple times.

It’s in the rear on the right side just above the spare tire under plastic , replace it yourself , a dealer charges way to much , like nearly a few hundred. If you don’t need a 7 year battery don’t get AGM and save a lot .

GLK Battery removal
i have searched and can’t find how to remove the auxiliary battery from my 2014 GLK .
Any help would be appreciated.
i removed the three clips.
i took off the charming parts
I depressed two more clips but it still is stuck.

Thanks, and very good to know. I had the same Aux Battery issue that I was fortunately able to get replaced under warranty....Oddly enough, the guy at the dealership said that the Aux batts for my GLK had known voltage reliability issues, and that newer ones are more stable, but harder to come by. But then he also said that he was only showing that there was one in the states (at a dealership in Michigan) and that if they didn't have it in stock, it'd take two months to get it from Germany. Dude may have been full of it, but good to know I can replace it myself next time it goes out.

Just replaced the main battery in my '14 GLK 250, and purchased the aux as well assuming that it existed and would need replacement. Looked in the rear cargo area and even lifted the plastic panel on the right. Nope. Nothing there. Is the second battery something they went away from? Maybe check with the dealer and give the VIN and see if it exists? Thanks.

You probably also noticed you don't have a spare tire in there...
Coincidentally, I'm still on the original battery and I'm noticing slower cranking when starting it up but it still fires up just fine. Did yours die completely or you did it as a preventive measure?

Starts just fine just sounding a bit slower. No spare indeed. Swapped the run flats for toyo Celsius and happy with that decision. Odyssey AGM spins the motor quickly. Will be searching a rim for the best leftover runflat to use as an emergency spare. Can’t seem to locate the CAN spec donut style.

I also ditched the Dunlop "run-flats" after about 45K miles. Treads were down to the wear bars and winter in WI has been snowy/icy so far. I opted for the Michelin Premier LTX and have been very happy with them.
I'll keep an eye on the battery, glad it has survived the winter. It helps that we garage it.
I see a MB part # for the GLK as a spare, #204-400-98-00. I'll keep looking for the donut one, as I'd like that one as well.
Edit: it appears the part number corresponds to the Vredestein "Compact Spacesaver" wheel, which is the donut spare. Size is 185/75-17 98P. Sells for ~$360.

I think the Canadian version is a steel rim with a collapsed tire that uses a compressor to inflate prior to installation. Quite compact. I contacted the local MB dealer and he said he cannot buy anaything that’s not US spec, even if it’s MB inventory.
Our GLK is garage kept overnight. This helps. However there is a significant current draw after the car sits outside all day in the cold. Just didn’t want a phone call requesting a jump. Took care of that on the frontside. Glad I did.
A side note note I can’t find the Canadian spec coolant warmer plug in gizmo either. Will have to figure out something else for deep winter warmth. Not sure how it’ll handle the arctic cold that settles in to the Colorado high country. -30F...routinely.
