Glk350 no start, key won't unlock vehicle
Last evening the key fob started acting up and would not unlock/lock the car. The car started and ran fine, however. This morning, the car ran and drove as normal as well but again, the key wouldn't unlock the doors. When the car started this afternoon it refused to go into reverse. She turned the car off and attempted to restart it but it wouldn't start. When the key is turned to any position, nothing happens. The dash does light up when the doors are opened and the interior lights work. The battery in the key fob is brand new and the fob lights up when any button is depressed.
Does anyone have any ideas where to start? Thanks in advance!

actually 12.5 is correct and more than enough to start any car, the battery management in an md threshold is 11.3 volts before it starts dropping off unnecessary components like radio and interior lights, the eis and earl can operate at 10.5 volts. A batter will never be over 13 volts unless it just came off a charger and that combs last like 5 mins, a 12v battery is a 12v battery and will not be 13 volts, the OP is having different problem for the battery. An other please don’t try to say different, wrong information waste a lot of people time, his battery is fine, he said he’s not getting any ignition, accessories or able to operate keyless entry, 12.5 volts is more than enough to do that... yes I’m an electrical diagnostics engineer since 2001 and I happen to also I’ve a S550 some times I’m don’t drive it for months and the battery drops to 10.5 and my car starts right up on the first try, and yes I know the S550 has an independent starter battery but my point is the locks, and ignition still fires up fine
Regardless the OP should have some type of response at voltage as low as 11v
did it say “incorrect key or key doesn’t belong to the vehicle”
I can make you a key but you have to send me your EIS, when I send it back everything is plug and play
