GLK 250, 120,000 Mile Maintenance. Did I get taken for a ride?
Own and drive a 2014 GLK250 which has been generally reliable and that I am very happy with. Went in for Service this morning near Pompano and was quoted $2,060 for Service B at 120,000 miles. This seemed higher than usual (approx 1,200 for previous service B), but the service advisor indicated that this included replacement of the diesel particulate filter. I referenced the maintenance manuals online and am not seeing this as a required replacement. Am I being taken for a fool?
The rest of the list is a lot of checks, along with oil change, air & oil & fuel & cabin filters, lubing the pano roof, etc. in other words, things you could do yourself and save hundreds.
Our Moose is closing in on 120k too, no major issues to report. These trucks love the open road and being pushed. They don’t like being babied and doing short trips.
Let us know what else is on that list to make it 2 grand.
