Unhappy 2015 GLK 350 Secret Engineering Mode Menu

I absolutely hate that I have to resort posting this, I have scoured the forums for the right key press to get into the Engineering Settings Mode so I can activate AUX seem to continue to strike out. 2015 GLK 350, I have a MMI and USB port in my glove box.

When I use red hangup + 1 + # for 10 seconds this is the menu I get. What is the other key press that I am missing?!

Not sure if it makes any difference but what is the reason you need to activate AUX mode?

Oh boy I’m such an idiot. I was looking for that 2 page engineering menu. Aux was already enabled and under the Audio menu rather than the media menu.

im doing a roadtop car play module + backup camera installation on my ‘15 GLK 350.

as of today I have everything functioning, last thing left is to figure out how to run the aux cable to center console where the mmi interface plug is.

How hard it is to do an OEM backup camera install?

Running the wires are the biggest pain point.

Actually found cameras that have a wireless dongle so you don’t have to run wire from the radio all the way to the back.

there is all kinds of YouTube videos of people and installers doing the back up camera.

I needed a camera interface module to make that possible so the road top CarPlay module just made sense.

what sucks about it, you need the MMI interface port for audio to function. Means running wire to the center console on my car. Means more crap you have to take a part to get the wire there cleanly.

saving myself $2k for pro install which is the cheapest I could find here.

Did you figure this out or how to make it work? I have the exact same problem and the dealerships don't seem to have a clue how to help me.

I figured it all out guys I have the same X204 GLK with NO AMI port which has virtually no AUX but there is a solution it is late sorry for my bad bad english

1.) if your car has literary no AUX from OEM then you can "hack" it into the system using your new android device here is a video showing it ->
2.) once you activated your aux you have to tell the android system which AUX Position you use/have -> in the video 1:20
3.) and at last if you happen to have the super duper HARMAN KARDON Audio System then this might be the reason why you have no sound at all!!! Sinde HK uses optical sound wires which are not included in the china adapter you have to carefully put them out of the original harness and put them into the china one -> see here https://www.realmediashop.de/DOKU/TX...CKGUIDE_EN.pdf

the 1 & 2 were hard to find but the harman kardon optical wire thing..... I browsed the whole internet for that info

would be nice if @admin would mark this thread as (SOLVED) since a lot of people have this problem and are desperate looking for info on youtube and so on
