What's Your Opinion on MB Running Boards on GLK's??

Haven't see many, maybe 1 GLK with OEM Running Boards for every 30 on the net for sale.

Anybody got that MB Running Board option and how have they held up? You still happy with them or do they get in the way?

How do they hold up in long winters and heavy snow? We get over 500 inches a season here and it's not unusual to be driving through 2ft. until you get to plowed roads.

Post some photos of your car with MB running Boards!

I like the looks of the oem from the factory MB Running Boards on what few the GLK's I've seen it on online. Never seen one in person yet.

yes
Don't have them but thought about them a few times. Personal preference, I guess, regarding looks. Read of numerous complaints that they dirty your pants/trousers/slacks when you get in or out. In your area I would be very concerned about them acting as a shelf or trap for holding salt-laden snow.

No more MB:(
Why would you need them on a GLK?

Good points MB about dirty pants! No salt laden snow here in the Sierras but more concerned they might get ripped off/damaged in our deep snow!

MB’s
I have them on my ML but not my GLK. GLK is a crossover so it’s easier to get in and out of. I see no reason for them on a GLK. They are pretty much useless because it sits so low. It would only be for looks.

GLK350 4Matic
I have a 2010 4matic and I bought them a few months after we got the car. It took about 20 mins a side to install and was super easy. The wife and I wanted them for the look. After about 12 years now they are still on tight, never had any issues when we lived in Colorado with the snow either. I do stand on them to wash the top of the car and I weigh about 200#s so that's not an issue or after 12 years of 2x a month car washes they would have had some flex.

Cool Running Boards - nice looks & marginal utility

I have OEM Running Boards on my 2015 GLK and they look exactly like this photo. My observations are as follows: They are slightly helpful if you have difficulty getting in and out of your car. They also provide a bit of a perch or heel support for reaching the top of the car. They are brushed aluminum and scratch, but the scratches aren't noticeable enough to impair the overall appearance. When you get out of the car, they can get a line of dirt on the back of your pants leg if you aren't careful. They do look nice (see picture) and I am glad I have them, since I have a mobility impairment and use the small ledge for a step when getting into the car.

OEM Style GLK Running Boards as shown on EBay.

What's their true value? I've seen them for $500 and $200

My GLK does that even without running boards! With would be even worse, I'd guess.
