Headlight adjustment left / right?

Is it possible to adjust the left/right alignment of a GLK X204 headlight? I can see the vertical adjustment, and can read about adjusting it, but am coming up blank with any reference to adjusting the left/right alignment of the headlights.

I can’t see any on my 13, why do you need to do this. I can only guess removing and using shims . When I put in HID I needed to lower the beam completely down. And it’s great with 35w hid

A few times when pulling up to my garage door, it seems like the right light may be aimed a bit further left than "perfect", and I was going to adjust it to fine-tune the pattern.

The LED "bulbs" I installed didn't degrade my headlight's pattern - if anything, it improved it (they are designed to emulate the light output of a halogen bulb, so that makes sense). HID bulbs produce light along a much greater length of the bulb, so trying to focus a projector headlight designed for halogen bulbs is going to be challenging (as you found).

I believe the 2013 has the "new" headlights (not like the headlights in the 2010-11 models), but I'm thinking that none of them have left/right adjustments.

You put HID in your GLK but state you have Halogen and you are thinking about going LED for high beams? What am I missing here?

I got Cougar Motor Flagship bulbs. I'm very happy with them. I did a short video showing how the mounts work (and how to install them in the low-beam projector housings)...

My 13 doesn’t have projector lens. HiD would not be as good for the high beam since they need a slight warm up period, led are instant on. And with the hid ballast more work to instal. Do you know what the high beams are, H7 ?

Looks like the newer GLKs have an H15 bulb for the high beams (I'd recommend using the Rockauto.com interface to look up your year / model)...

Yes, H15. There are very few real options; the bulb includes a filament for the parking light, too.

Are you able to adjust the up/down of the low and high beam independently of one another or does the up/down adjustment affect both at the same time?

Habby, ( my dog is a pit bull named Happy)

The 13 has the non projector one adjustment up- down . It came factory with the crappies light outputs ever , and lights aimed to high. Hid low beams fixed this , but I had to aim them fully down, the high beams that I only use rarely are factory halogen
