2010 GLK 25k miles

We are helping a family friend sell their GLK 2010 with 25k miles.

I would look in your local car dealers, papers and online sites that are local. I imagine the prices vary by thousands of dollars depending on location.

We have looked locally and online. It is hard to get an accurate price because of the low miles, not many examples.

Its an Arizona car that has seen no winters.

Thanks for any help.

I am thinking 15-20K..

That would explain the low mileage, but, how do you know it doesn't run?

He said so , in the second sentence. If it was fixable they would fix it.

I'm thinking not everyone calls their friend's car "she". More likely, "she," who no longer drives, is the family friend, right?

Misinterpretation on your part ... @Mmr1

The person (the OP) is helping a family to sell their vehicle.

One person in that family, is the owner, and "she" is a woman. She no longer drives vehicles ... this is NOT unheard of ... it could be age, it could be a medical condition, etc.

Correct. I can see how the post may have been confusing.

She is the owner of the car and can no longer drive due to medical issues.

The GLK is in very good condition and was checked at the local dealer because of it sitting in the garage for a while.

Sounds like a beautiful car. You don't see a lot of Carneol Red ones. Brown interior too.

I'd guess $15K is an easy entry point with that low of miles. You could get more if someone is really in love with that color combo (not really the ideal AZ car, since red is "almost black" to the sun). ;-)

Hard to get those kinds of prices because of age and typical buyer’s reluctance to believe a 13 year old SUV has been driven that little. It’s a 2WD, which to most would be a negative, but to those who know the W/X204 chassis, it’s a positive because of lower maintenance/higher reliability. If it’s actually that pristine, it’s attractive because the color combination is a rarity. Listing on a specialty site like Hagerty might attract the kind of buyer that would spend more to get something special.

I've done a bit of quick research on this vehicle.
All the typical US based sites for used car estimates (KBB, etc) show about $10k, but I suspect that's for an average mileage for that year.

I did run across this reference (image below) to a listing, with similar mileage, while perusing the Edmunds (a bit similar to @Odd Piggy 's recommendation) website for special vehicles ... and the price is on-target for what the OP stated !

I will agree that I'm glad I bought the 2014 GLK Base (2wd) for my wife ... after reading all the horror stories about the AWD out here.
At about 89k miles now (bought 5-6 years ago), it's been trouble-free (fingers crossed)
.

Looks like an early model with limited number of options (if any). I would find option list vs. VIN scan.
Looks like non-AWD, no multimedia, no heated seats, no headligths. That's very basic.
The problem is that this car probably had minimal maintenance based on miles so it will need new tires, fluids etc.

I would guess this car would sell in 11-14k. Anybody looking for car in this range would rather save money and get less pristine one so the "pristine" premium is low on an older car.

Arizona car: no heated seats & 2WD not unusual. Lots of those in Texas, too. Also has HD A/C package. Premium sound, panorama sunroof, rear view camera, sat radio, keyless go, 20” wheels, electric tailgate. Definitely not a base model. I sort of wish this had shown up before I retired my C-Class. I would have made a trip to look at it.

I agree - somebody will get a nice car.
Prem sound and panorama roof are pretty much on every GLK. Rear camera and power trunk are all standard equipment.
2WD is actually a benefit as it eliminates a few every expensive items.

Not really. My base model had none of that and no sun roof at all. Keyless Go, heated seats, and satellite radio were all it had.

I have it on my GLK and like it but there are serious security issues with this technology.
