Hello everyone, I have been having issues since July, my ESC currently unavailable see operator's manual popped up and my truck loss power. I turned it off and back in I got to work & on the way home it did the same thing. My mechanic changed the coils/spark plugs , then he said it was the secondary air injection pump so I replaced that, then every other day it would continue. He claims he checked all the sensors then said my alternator was bad so Saturday 8/9/2025 we replaced it today after not driving all yesterday it did the same thing ESC currently unavailable. Someone ple Please help me
ase offer me some advice. This issue has costed me my job
Find a new mechanic. He's shooting in the dark. ESC relies on things like steering angle sensor, yaw sensor, wheel speed sensors, etc. If it posted the warning it must have stored some data.

Nothing he did has anything to do with the problem. ESC= electronic stability control.
Get a new mechanic to read the codes with the proper equipment. More than likely it's an ABS wheel speed sensor or such.

None of that helped, so why do you think the sensor tests and code readings were worth any more?

If that display is on the instrument cluster there is information stored in the ECU memory about it.

I live in Arizona. I will check today at Aamco to see if its loose wires like you suggested
Dam , that’s nutzzz, that guy is a crook or a moron or both . I’ll bet you just spent (got suckered) 1500$ or more for absolutely nothing of relevance to your problem . I’d be interested in knowing his logic behind what he did. I can’t think of anything related to ESC . I’ll bet you got all cheap Chinese parts also . He owes you for that scam ! Take that bs guy to small claims.
Was it misfiring - running rough? So why the plugs and coils ? And who made the parts ? Why the alternator? Was a warning light on or dead battery ? I’ll bet no, and you started it! What about that pump he replaced that gas absolutely noting to do with. esc. And what pump was that ? I think you just got scammed.

Unfortunately you are mistaken I have OEM parts, I needed 3 coils and no I didn't pay $1500 for labor , I didn't have to pay labor at all. I now noticed numerous individuals on this forum are bored, disgruntled and have horrible spirits. No thanks to the thread and internet mechanics the issues have been addressed.

I wasn't crying at all, I asked for suggestions on ESC and told all what was recently repaired. My only problem is here is you !!! There was no reason for your condescending demeanor. If your entertainment comes from a mercedes-benz forum you have deeper issues.
Also thank you for all who sent private messages!! I 100% see exactly what you were referring to as far as the elderly person who continues to comment disturbing comments. R8 your suggestion worked yesterday after going to Aamco and yes nothing mentioned was helpful just spewing insulting displaced rage

I had some glitches this morning also. I'm receiving emails that Shouston 1 has posted and I can read his posts in the email. They do not appear on the forum.
