OK, I'll bite. What are "car lot guys" and why are they removing a GPS from your car?
I'd say quite a few folks have no idea what the high-end dealers do.
They install GPS devices in EVERY vehicle so they can find them
quickly, instantly do inventory, and easily track vehicles that are stolen.
Just do an Internet search, if in doubt.
And there are a number of dealerships who will try to "sell"
that feature ... bad idea ... do you want to be tracked?
I found them on my own and went back to them and they removed the GPS but left those two wires crimped together. I paid for the glk 250 bluetec in cash, never had a loan.

1) Did you read thru your invoice receipt to be sure they did not charge you for the GPS? (some dealers do that).

P2080 code means there's a fault with the EGT Sensor Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 1) ... could be a bad sensor, wiring issues (corrosion, damage), or sometimes the PCM itself, which affects DPF regeneration and potentially reducing engine performance.
P261F code indicates a fault with the electric coolant pump, ... the pump is stuck or not responding as expected, leading to faulty engine warm-up and maybe the turbo boost because of coolant contamination in the vacuum system.
C0031 code is a fault in the left-front wheel-speed sensor circuit, often showing ABS, traction control, and cruise control warnings. Could be a bad sensor, damaged wiring/connector, or a problem with the ABS control module/fuse.
3) Do you mean they snipped the wires and twisted them together, as bare? There was no twist-cap insulator cover??
If this was a recent purchase, I'd be talking to the dealer about those three codes.

[Fortunately,] That's an issue with the engine driven pump, not the electric one. It has a vacuum actuated bypass that is for faster warmup. If the seal fails coolant can migrate up the vacuum line and eventually into a wiring harness.

yes, the abs light is on, the only codes that are permanent and not secondary are c0031 and p2080.

yes, they literally just snipped the device off and crimped the wires together. They claimed the device was lefg from a dealer before them. I got a good deal so I didn't push it. I only asked because chatgpt was telling me that the wires were the problem but now I see chatgpt is full of s
