I'm confused. I posted the wiring diagram, not the plumbing schematic. Signal and ground. Do the colors on the wires (Red/White and Yellow/white) match the ones on your valve?
If you displace it and it moves back it sounds like it is mechanically OK.
The hoses are vacuum from the reservoir, vacuum to the actuator, and vent to the atmosphere.

so you by chance have a part number for this Y85?
The same part is used in several other places, e.g. compressor bypass control and water pump, maybe more.
I can't find a Y27/16 anywhere but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I stumble through WIS and EPC like a blind man. Where did that number come from?

Original part number was A 002 540 14 97 Replaced by A 200 540 70 97, same as the one in the photo. Is that one the replacement?

the new replacement part number is 000 500 32 01 this is what replaces all those. The one I changed is right below the egr cooler

It's how I feel too! I just don't want to keep throwing parts at it. I will check the wiring with a multimeter and see if maybe there is something wrong there. I genuinely appreciate the help/info you've provided me with along the way i hope i can have this solved. I will report back once i have some dice.

Yeah, I have that one too. Interesting it is called something different in the wiring diagram. Unless the solenoid is Y85 and the vacuum valve is Y27/16. No point in making it any less confusing than possible.

So just a bit of an update. Checked wiring and getting power to Y27/16 solenoid valve. This POS is driving me nuts.
car however drives ok. I’m getting a bit of shaking but I assume it’s a balance issue.
