GLK350- Sport pkg, Navi and HK
Questions before ordering

Xeon Headlamps
-I think its kind of stupid not to have these as stock.
How hard is it to find these aftermarket???

Stock Stereo vs Logic 7??
Has anyone heard the difference.. I thought the Navi package came this with upgraded stereo but it doesnt.

Virtually impossible to retrofit. The bi-zenon headlamp units alone cost about CD$5000 to replace.
Do you drive at night ? If the answer is yes, then I suggest that you order the bi-zenons; the difference in lighting performance is huge. You will never regret having them. IMO, probably the most important option to add before any others.

Try before you buy. Whereas the regular (halogen) headlights are just fine on my W203 Coupe, the Xenons are a must on my W204 Sedan -- the regular headlights, which I have had a chance to try on loaners, are much weaker. In oher words, YMMV.

I'll go along with the others in saying try before you buy. I have the HK system in my R class and it rocks for a stock system, but be aware not all HK systems are the same. The HK system in the C class would be a serious waste of money if it weren't for the fact its packaged with the nav system. For some unknown reason they chose poor speaker location in the C class and it doesn't sound all that much better than the stock system. But like I said, they are all different, so check it out and have a listen before you drop the cash.

Of course, in time someone will make aftermarket xenons. But why would you do that? Its only $1000 for the factory option. If you like the look of xenons, or you want better visibilty, just order them. You will love them, and as for the sound system, if you like your music just go for it. I have both in my C350 and wow! I couldnt be happier.

Save a penny or two today, and live without tomorrow. Personaly, im the kind of person that enjoys quality of life.

IMO, it is better to get all the options that you want when you get the car. Less heartache and easier service down the road. Plus aftermarket add-ons usually cost a ton more then factory options. Electronics are probably the only exception to that rule.

Have you seen the backside of the housing yet? While it may be expensive to buy the OEM bi-xenon housing, I don't see why it would be hard to retrofit a HID kit in the halogen housing. From what I see, the halogen housing has a pretty decent projector.

If you can wait, the aluminum rails will be availible later. So why dont you just place your deposit and tell them you will go for one from the prodution that will be built with aluminum rails. I dont know how bad you need or want them but it may be worth the wait. Again better to be happy then settle!

IMHO, bi-xenons is a must-have option. We have it on the C55 and C350 and will not buy another MB without it.

Makes driving at night a lot safer.
