I don't think the order guide for 2017 GLS for Canada has been released yet. I placed an order for a 450 about 3 months ago. I am still waiting to hear back from my dealer with pricing.
By placing an order do you mean it's already being built? I spoke to two dealers last week and they said they don't have any info yet but could put me on an allocation list.

The vehicle is not being built right now. The sales manager wanted me to place an order ahead of time in order to have a delivery in May. I believe I am getting the second allocation in Alberta. Keep in mind that I ordered a 450M. 350M's are available next month in Canada.
No problem, I pick all the packages except the exclusive pacakge, designo, wood steering, rear entertainment and Bang & Olufsen. Seems like the Canada version is pretty well equipe already. Hopefully the price won't be too crazy too.

It looks like you have an awesome build. You are right. A lot of these options are now standard in the mid-cycle-refreshed GLS. I am not sure if you share the same concern as I do. Are you not little concerned that MY 18 GLS will have digital cluster like the new 2017 E series? As you already know, all of its close competitors like Range Rover and Q7 all have digital clusters.
I really don't have a choice now. I have a baby due June and need to up size to SUV, look at LR4 with all plastic trims, don't like the look of Q7 and Rang Rover's price. After all I still think GL is bang for the buck.

Congrats with your upcoming child in June. We just had our third just last week. We are more desperate, if not just as, to get ourselves into a bigger vehicle. I have come really close to buying a Range Rover Supercharged prior to placing an order for a 450M but the practicality was not just there for us with a Range Rover even though I loved everything about it.
Well... that is a very good question. I am leaning more toward leasing it since there is a rumor that it might be remodeled for MY 19 which will most likely be available for sale in early or mid 2018. I would hate to drive an outdated vehicle after two years of purchasing it.

My dealer is saying that the Diesel engine might have problem entering Canada like the VW diesel. Might cause some delay to deliver date.

I hope this isn't true. I couldn't wait for the GLS and would rather have an all new model so I have a GLE 350 coming in May .
My dealer said the gls350 is already made but they are waiting till April or so to make sure everything is ok with the deisel issues. I have ordered a gls 450 with active curve. I have been told may be May I would get it.

So is the the Canadian government imposing some law or investigation on the diesel ? Or Mercedes just want to make sure nothing going wrong ?
No. Benz just want to make sure everything goes smoothly.
That is awfully inconvenient for people who have ordered 350's for their early delivery dates. For example, I was one of those handful of people who initially ordered a 350 because of its early delivery date to accommodate our third child who was born a month ago. On the other hand, I am happy that I am buying a vehicle from a manufacturer who actually cares for their products.
