Xenon Lights
This is the kit I got:
Hylux 2A88 35w Canbus HID System
HID Ballasts
Hylux 2A88 35w
Bulb Size / Kelvin Temperature
H7: XB 5500K
Harness
No Harness Required
The 5500 Kelvin temperature bulbs are pure white and match the LED running lamps perfectly. The light output from this kit is crisper and brighter than the lighting package I had on my 2014 GL. Its a plug and play system. The only difficult part is getting the H7 bulb adapters to fit but it only take a few minutes of fiddling with it. I highly recommend removing the front tires while doing this as it allows much easier access and vision to the headlight assembly.
There are two types of H7 HID bulb euro adapters which are bought seperately. one has a circular cutout in the middle, the other has a rectangular cutout. The circular ones DO NOT work.
the first one took 45 minutes including removing the tire. The second one took 15 minutes. It is definitely worth it, not only for the looks but also for the much more superior light output.
I also installed H7 PIAA Extreme White plus halogen bulbs in the high beams. I actually had the dealer do that since I couldn't fit my hand back there to do it myself. They charged me $70.

Did you experience improved peripheral lighting with the HID upgrade? That's where I am most disappointed with the stock halogens.
What is the best method of removing the plastic piece from wheel well for light access? I do not want to damage any tabs accidently.
Where did you mount the ballasts and how?
Thinking of getting this kit and the adapter on the same page:
Any other recommended setups out now?
Can you please provide an update on how this kit is working out for you? I just bought a 2017 GLS450 for my wife and blame myself for not doing due diligence and finding out about the headlight issue. It didn't even cross my mind that in 2017 a $82K vehicle would have halogen lights. While doing research, I came across this thread and wanted to get your feedback on the reliability of the Hylux Kit before I pull the trigger.

Good luck.

The stock power line to the stock bulb looks like this:
The power line from the kit looks like this (lowest line):
I can't figure out how that would connect to the stock line without modifying the stock line. Either stock power line was updated, I got a knockoff hylux kit, or I'm misunderstanding something.

You need an H7 kit for that connection. Not sure where you ordered from, but that kind of looks like a harness to an igniter. If you have pics of all the pieces, we might be able to assist, but you should reach out to the vendor you bought from for assistance. If you're missing parts or vendor won't help, try returning. We offer authentic Hylux/Morimoto blended kits that work just fine.
I also got caught by purchasing a an 80K vehicle with halogen lights, stupid mistake!!! I am thinking about purchasing used led intelligent headlights from ebay and replace my halogen cheap looking lights. Does anyone have any info if there would be any problems with that? I really appriciate any input, I recently switched from a Audi Q7 premium package, but the lights drive me nuts, Thanks
1. does computer needs to re programmed?
2. has anyone created instructions on it?
Its $1000 for both sides on ebay. Wanted to make sure its DIY and upgradable?
