GLS450 is a pretty quick vehicle, when we took one out for test drive, I was stunned on how much quicker and smoother the ride was compared to the ML350 we had.

I was surprised by this too. Does anyone have any numbers/reviews on the 550?

2018 Porsche Panamera 4, 2017 Mercedes GLS550, 2015 Porsche 911 4S
GLS550 0-60 in 5.2 Sec
GLS450 0-60 in 6.5 Sec

These numbers are from multiple sources. Never heard of eMercedesBenz before. Unless they did some mods, there's no way its possible.

0-60 times will be all over the map.

eMercedesBenz has been around and are a respected online source for MB.

Here is a C&D review that states the same 5.7 0-60 times for the GLS450.

GLS review on eMercedesBenz is sourced from C&D. (Copy-Paste) Not sure if you meant the same.

At Topspeed it says 0-60 in 7 Sec
http://www.topspeed.com/cars/mercede...-ar169530.html

At MotorTrend it says 0-60 in 6.2 Sec
http://www.motortrend.com/cars/merce...ic-first-test/

So lets see.....
V6 Vs V8
362 HP Vs 450 Hp
369 lb-ft Vs 516 lb-ft

Not saying that at all. C&D is another source stating the same 0-60 times. As I said, 0-60 times will be all over the map.

C&D is the only source. I'm prettty sure they got it wrong. MB site says 0-60 in 6.5 but in real they are always a bit quicker, I would imagine somewhere btw 6 -6.5 sec. It can't be almost a second quicker. If it is then it would be the way ahead in competition compared to other SUV's with similar HP/GW

regardless, power will be sufficient for most people driving this car. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a tune later for the turbos.

I agree. Some including car mags get stuck on 0-60.

That said, I have my doubts this was a mistake. I guess over time we will see as more and more results are released. I would not be surprised to see better 0-60 times for the 550 and 63 then we've seen thus far.

Test Sheet:
http://media.caranddriver.com/files/...4matic2017.pdf

I noticed the acceleration from 5-60 is 6.3. I would think this would be better then what they show for 0-60 being 5.7

+1... we wont go crazy doing 0-60's on this truck and yes.. 450 is quick enough for that size of a truck.

Low 6 seconds is probably a lot more believable.

Plenty of power. Wouldn't shock me if the engine was under rated by 40-50 HP. 550 has a much better exhaust note though.

2017 GLS 550
I had a 2016 450 for a V6 it was pretty fast. I bought the 2017 GLS 550 and you can just feel the power plus when you start it up the exhaust sounds powerful. But I heard the 63 exhaust that thing must be a beast
