GLS 550 Airmatic issue

Hey all!

I’ve had my 2018 GLS 550 for three yrs now…I’ve loved it! Problem I’m seeing is with the airmatic system. The system has never let me down (ha, dad joke) while parked or driving etc…only when I jack it to work on it…changing oil, checking pads . When I jack it, it stays in position at first, but give it a few minutes and I hear the system kick on and lower the car! Not funny when you’re under it! Is this normal?

side note, what is the torque on the oil pan nut, I seem to be slightly off…minor leak…

Thanks everyone!

Tightening torques for M278: https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...ml#post8357774

Read the attachment. Torque is 30Nm if you have an M14 drain screw.

Just crack one of the doors open while you’re working on it. The car is not allowed to move.

Thank you! Of course, the manual says not to open any doors while it is jacked…

I’ll try it!
