2017 GLS450 engine dying while driving at high speed and on cruise control
Hi, I am new to the forum so pardon my ignorance. My 2017 GLS450 while on the highway at 77mph and on cruise control the engine just died and the tranny went to N. The dash board died but the A/C was still on.
My SIL pulled the car over on to the side of the highway and he was able to start the engine again. Anyone has similar experience? The MB dealer said there is no record of such event in the computer so they have no idea why this happended.
They were not able to duplicate the situation so we are at a loss what to do. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated.

I've heard of the crank sensor behaving that way. Whatever it is, it sounds dangerous when your on the hiway going that fast and it shuts down. Be safe!

Start with replacing the main and auxiliary batteries.
