Newbie here - Need to update COMAND navi maps on 2018 GLS450
I've just bought a 2018 GLS450. The maps are sorely out of date.
I've been looking around and just haven't found the answer to this yet.
Greatly appreciate any help or advice.

2017 GLE350 4MATIC
Last year I had it done for $250 minus a $100 coupon, so $150 plus tax. The service tech left the key/dongle in my USB slot...they were surprised when I brought it back to them.

I was quoted $303 including tax by local dealer.
I'm going to thoroughly investigate mbnavupdate.com
BlownV8, did you actually use the service? I'm computer literate, so I could download it for something like $125.
Sure appreciate the help from all.

All, just so you know, mbnavupdate.com took my VIN and reported back that it would not work for my COMAND system, only Garmin.
So, looks like I'm dropping 300 bucks at the dealer.
Thanks to all.

I don't really care much about updating the nav, but it would be nice to update the system so Carplay works a little more seamlessly. Every time we plug in our phones, we have to hit "Automatic" to accept the connection in the Command system.

Thank you. I did find this and did do the map update to 2022 for $105 including tax. That was easy.
What was hard was transferring my saved POIs from my Garmin Drive 60 to COMAND. THAT was an adventure. It involves using Garmin's Basemap. I probably should do a youtube video when I have more time.
P.S. I am not at all fond of COMAND. It is 10 times harder to use than my Garmin Drive 60, which has lifetime maps and gives much more info than COMAND. For one example, I really like having the speed limit displayed right next to the speed I'm traveling.
