I'm looking for those who have experience with the cheaper tunes. I just can't bring myself to drop $4k on renntech or $2500 on eurotuned when I've spent under a grand on tunes for everything else I've had tuned. And real tunes, not piggy backs. So what are my options? I've seen the racechip and a tune from dudmd, anything else out there?

Hi,
very happy with OETUNING.COM, takes the GLS550 into GLS63 AMG territory. Next tranny tune, but need to go OC because there's some special cable they have.
It goes occasionally on sale, glad I got it.

There was a very upset customer posting on the W212 AMG forum complaining quite loudly about their tune but it looks like the thread was deleted. Make sure to do your research.

I've had it for some 2 years now and has been fantastic!
With great power comes also great MPG!!!
Just didn't have the time to drive down to get the tranny tune. OE Tuning has been great to me so far.

FWIW: I used DUDMD for my BMW X5 diesel tune about a year ago. He mailed me the cable and emailed me the tune file with instructions on how to load the tune with my laptop. It worked well, the car behaves like stock only with more giddyup. No drama, no trouble since. I would use him again.

Anyone tried MWMods Tune? Looks like it is plug into OBD and can be unplug for smog purposes. I live in CA so i need something that's quick.

Just got the WEISTEC ECU Tune, and it's just awesome!!! Noticeable difference from the OE i had before. Pulls soo smooth and powerful! Now TCU TUNE ASAP.
