GLS 450/580 Executive Rear Seat Package
We ordered our GLS 450 with the Executive Rear Seat Package. It came in and we took delivery, but it was missing the MBUX tablet and the Comfort Head Restraint Cushions. Dealer says it ordered these but 3 weeks later it claims parts are scarce and I'll need to wait at least 2 more weeks if not more. My sense is that a black market is developing for the MBUX tablets since I don't think they are 'vIN connected. No idea what's going on with headrest cushions. Anyone else experiencing this when their orders come in?

Our dealer said it also tried to track it down. Let a week go by and then apparently forgot about it. Weird that cushions didn't come in. How long did it take to track yours down? Our dealer says that missing tablets are a common event, but I don't believe anything this dealer says at this point. They forgot to install the wheel locks and the vehicle came without a window sticker that was also "lost". They ordered a new one for us, but that's the only thing that has come in so far.

My sales rep and I spent 10 minutes searching the car for a hidden compartment that maybe held the tablet. Afterwards, he just called down to parts to have them bring one to the showroom. Took another 30 minutes from that point. Was told later that while the vehicle was at their delivery prep center, they took the tablet out and it just didn't get placed back in.

Our dealer is clearly not used to selling higher end vehicles because our sales rep and sales manager didn't even know what the MBUX tablet was, let alone where it might be. And their parts department seems to deal mostly with things like wiper blades and floor mats, but nothing so exotic as the tablet. It's always amateur hour at this place.

Which dealer is this? You don't seem to be having any luck with them.
The tablet is so new I doubt there is any parts department that has them. They would have to file a warranty claim and wait to receive one most likely.

I'd rather DM you the name of the dealership rather than doing it publicly, although I warned the place I'd unload on social media if they don't get their act together soon. You OK if I DM you that info?
I scoured the car and there was nothing there. Before we picked it up we had a ceramic coating applied by a 3rd party vendor who works out of the dealership. They may have taken it, along with the window sticker that went missing, but to be fair on that, they could easily have just needed to remove the sticker in order to work on the car. But they never put it back in the car either.

It's ridiculous what you had to go through. Based on your description, it seems like a bunch of under-trained incompetent idiots are running that place (or those that just don't care are running it).
I'm sure you checked, but there was nothing under the load floor in the cargo area right?
The sticker missing is a really big issue. That's like a federal law violation. They can't even sell you a car without that sticker from what I was told...

Yeah, I know about the window sticker issue big time. They got one to me within a week. This place sells or leases whatever dealer allotments they get and probably more used cars than new ones. We also checked under the load floor in the cargo area too, first thing after the glove boxes. A number of members have asked which dealership this is and I've informed them privately.

My 580 also came without a window sticker and I saw it right after they took it off the truck. I think they are not leaving the factory with them. My dealer ordered one and we had it in about a week.
