GLS 580 vs GLS 63?
For me it felt like the GLS 580 was more comfortable ride then the GLS 63. The GLS 63 of course has that wow factory of the engine and speed but to me it felt more of a stiffer ride? Or maybe I was paying too much attention to the raw power that thing outputs. Am I wrong?
But I'm sure that will wear off after a while as it did for me the speed of my Tesla Model S.
I'm having trouble deciding which one to get. I didn't get to test drive the GLS 580 with the active body control from what I read it seems to be amazing.
Do I save 30 grand and get a 580? Or am I gonna miss out on that AMG. I kinda want the best of both worlds.
EDIT: Also what discounts are guys getting? They offered me literally no discount besides a $1,000.00 "loyalty" discount. Which is really putting me off getting the Benz

What size wheels were on each of the cars? The 23 inch wheels produce a noticeably harsher ride.
There are a couple of other threads describing the discounts that people are getting.
I have the 63 and the wife has the 580 with E-ABC. We only recently got both trucks but I have had some seat time in both as both driver and passenger. If you want to speed, sound and exclusivity, get the 63. There is leather everywhere and the power and sounds can’t be matched by the 580. However, the 580 still has tons of power (I was surprised) and it is way cheaper. The 580 on 21s rides much smoother than the 63 on 23s. If you get the 580 I would skip the 23s and only get 21s or 22s unless your roads are super smooth. Here in the Midwest, we have crap roads and you feel it.
While the 63 rides more harshly than the 580, it is much smoother than my previous E63S wagon which my wife did not like to ride in.
If you get the 580, get the E-ABC it really makes a difference. Get the upgraded leather too.
