GLS63 AMG 2021 Mods and Upgrades
I think I'm about done:
RENNtech ECU upgrade (software)
Escort Max 360 CI
DNA Surface Concepts (ceramic coating)
35% front driver and passenger window tint
Multibeam Headlight upgrade (software)
Eco Stop/Start last mode (software)
Seatbelt Chime off (software)
Dynamic Select last mode (software)
Belkin Magsafe Vent Mount Pro (iPhone 12pro Max)
I'm happy with all the mods and all work great. Custom Install Escort was important since I have the Acoustic Glass so windshield mount radar detector never worked as it should especially the GPS.
The Multibeam Headlights are amazing and worth it. RENNtech upgrade noticeable power boast and much better throttle response in S+. The torque is insane for 3 ton vehicle. Also, nice trick starting vehicle while holding in left paddle shifter opens the exhaust valves for a nice rumble/rev spike. It gets people's attention if standing around and especially at the rear of car

how was the software upgrade fo the above performed? did you have to take it to a shop or is there a device that can handle these "adjustments?" i'm coming from the audi world and there's a cable (rosstech/vag-com) with accompanying software where you can adjust a number of different settings.

Can you please share exactly what product you used for all the software upgrades? Are they reversible so it can be hidden when I take in for service. I use Cobb Accessport for my 911 which gives you the option to reverse the mods. THANKS

I asked my local Mercedes tuner about doing those OBD mods, and they don’t have the tool for it. Hopefully I don’t have to make a road trip from Oregon down to Florida to go visit Trimmer’s guy.

it appears it is the same guy selling the mod on ebay for the Eco stop/start last mode. I got the mod for my previous GL450. It also works on my GLS580, but the instruction are different for the new MBux. not cheap. you can check price on ebay
is Multibeam the sames as the Directionally Adaptive auto high beam listed as the US GLS580 feature?

The Multibeam software releases the full capabilities of the headlights as they are in Europe and rest of world. USDOT hobbles the magic. It's quite incredible what the lights automatically do. There are some videos from other Mercedes models on Youtube that show it off. While in high beam auto mode, what seems like a shadow is put to on coming cars and cars in same direction but high beam shines all around. Other drivers aren't blinded by the high beam for example. Visually it's incredible and I always look for when they might do their thing in the neighborhood, highway and medium lit roads. Also, while in auto high beam mode, street signs and speed signs are dimmed by the headlights so not to glare and dazzle your eyes but full bright light all around... the turn lights are more pronounced and coming to a round about it lights up whole circle.... and on and on. It's worth the mod!

Literally, it's a gamecjager.
I used that guy's service on multiple Mercedes, along with other mods. the update process went smooth as it can go.
Def not cheap. but well worth it. especially the Multibeam unlock.

I just bought a 2021 GLS 63 AMG in mojave desert. Just had the Integrated Escort installed; not a fan of radar detgectors on the windshield. Where did you go for the other upgrades?

Mods are reversible including the RENNtech ECU upgrade. They use same method. Contact CanFilterMB@gmail for price list and etc. The mods are very easy but very specific instructions. He'll send a PayPal request and once he receives funds, a DHL package arrives from Canada with simple OBD and chips for each individual modification based on your VIN. Instructions are very specific and everything is reversible. Vlad is GMT+2 so sometimes based on other things he does, it may take a day or more for him to respond. So far (one week) all working as advertised with no issues or side effects. The Multibeam mod is the most expensive and the others are reasonable. Other mods he offers which I didn't do are Turn Blinker from 3 to 5 or 7, and suspension lowering module (most expensive of them all). One request I had which he says may start working on is the Seat Ventilation saved from last position at start up.
Hi I emailed the gentleman and received a notice that the email couldn’t be delivered. If you wouldn’t mind I would love his contact info. Thank you!

I purchased three mods from Vladimir: Multibeam, seatbelt chime, and remember key chime. They all worked fine and were easy to install with the provided OBD adapter and SD cards. The Key mod I ordered after the other two, and he sent them directly from his home in Brest Belarus. The other two came from Canada. Here’s the price list:GLS63 mods possible via my tuneOBD plug are:
- Stage1 powerUp tune = usd1499
- suspension lowering OBD tool (40mm and 70mm lowering possible) = usd599
- true Multibeam unlock (like at EU cars) = usd449
- Dynamic select default I or S or S+ = usd199
- ECO start stop last mode memory = usd199
- seatbelts screen and chime off = usd69
- automatic parkbrake off = usd89
And the one he didn’t tell me about until I asked: don’t forget your key $99
You send him (canfiltermb@gmail.com):
- mods list you need
- your car VIN number
- your paypal email to send the invoice
- delivery method (usd15 priority takes 15-25 days) or DHL express for usd69 takes (3-5 days)
- name address and THE PHONE NUMBER to post the parcel
Shipping is faster than what he quotes.
I asked him if I should deinstall them before a service, and he replied “no single reason for that as they TOTALLY dont care - I mean absolutely
the daimler pay to dealer for the services done on warranty, no warranty = no payments
hope this is clear”.
They all installed easily and all work perfectly. You basically crack open the small OBD adapter, pop in the unique MicroSD card, snap back on the case, turn on the ignition, and plug into the ODB port, wait until the tiny light stops flashing (about 20 seconds for the chime mods), and boom. During the Multibeam update, which takes about five minutes, the screen said that Mercedes me functions are limited, the right screen blinked out and turned green, the windshield wipers came on, and the overhead lights went off. But after two restarts all of that goes away. There is no limit; you can deactivate and reactivate as many times as you need.
i felt like I was dealing in black market goods, which I basically was, but it all worked out. I’m really happy I did it. Thanks for the tip, Trimmer!

I've used RENNtech upgrades for many year (almost 20) and they are very reliable and experts in engine tuning and doesn't effect engine/car warranty. In fact, my dealer over the years have sold RENNTech tuned brand new cars off show room floor. I never considered using Vlad's engine tune.
The headlights are fantastic!
Seatbelt chime gone is also great!
Starting in mode that the car was shut down also very nice!
I just wish he'd sort out how to keep seat ventilation same as when car shuts down. That's one button I have to keep activating when I start up and go.

Yeah, RJ certainly has LOTS more mods available and has a real website, payment options, lower prices, reviews, etc.The only question is: Since he does this real-time for you while the dongle is plugged in, what happens if, like me, your dealer upgrades your car's firmware and that removes the mods? With Vlad's solution, I just redid the mods myself. Will RJ do it for you for free a second (and third and ...) time?
