Seat adjustment

I can’t get my seat adjustments right because when I try to recline, the seat moves forward, and when I slide the seat back, it then gets upright.

anyone have any insight on how to custom adjust the seats??????

Bring your car to the dealer. The seat control buttons are probably the simplest buttons in the vehicle. If they don't work properly then imagine what other issues you will encounter.

The seat adjustment mechanism is very conservative in making sure that the headrest does not hit the ceiling or back seat. Could that be what you are seeing?

jabattan, yes - this happens to me when I have the back seat folded down my GLE. The front seat won't get anywhere near the folded back seat - when you try to move the front seat further back, the seat bottom moves back, but the back of the seat moves forward. I assume this is an intended feature - but never followed up further.

On my W212 (E-klass estate), I could not even move the front passenger seat back if the rear seat was folded. It was an annoying feature that could not be removed or altered.

In addition to checking the back seat, make sure the automatic height adjustment is turned off.
