Brand New GLS 580 broken at 79 miles
I purchased a new GLS 580 from neighborhood dealership in Ohio,100 miles from my home in Michigan for 115,980$,no E-Active Body Control ,I didn't, want headache and reviews not so impressive about E-Body. The car was ordered ,no manipulation possible in that sense(got VIN number 2 weeks before production) .I got a call from dealership when the car arrived ,they sent the paperwork, we signed, returned the paperwork ,payment arranged. On 01/21/2020 I got an email with application Mercedes-Me which I activated(01/21/2020) and first strange thing it had "service overdue red sign"( I have another 2 cars and I knew the warning sign only for the service)I was thinking they have to do regular service immediately after delivery from factory, nothing unusual. Dealership payed for shipment 300$ and the truck arrived on my street on the,01/23/2020.I inspected the car,16 miles on odometer ,signed and the truck left for further delivery .I entered the new, beautiful 580 ,took it 30 yards on my driveway ,stopped in the front of the garage got out of the car which was running and heard the engine very loud noise(I had GL diesel),the sound was worse, like a bad tractor. In a split second I was thinking that I have to take the car to the dealership. I stopped the engine started couple of times, no problems and I was thinking maybe I am a little bit paranoid. The car was for my wife and I didn't want to take it for drive before she comes home. She came home, was impressed and we took the car for a firs drive to go for lunch next day.Drive was OK didn't noticed anything I forgot about, loud bad tractor sound. She parked the car in the garage,79 miles on odometer .Next day she is calling me at work to tell me that immediately when she started the car the ENGINE LIGHT!!! was ON!!.I took the car to the nearest dealership 3 miles from my home, they took the car immediately for diagnostic. After waiting for one our they called me to tell me that the engine misfires( I know you will think "injectors") ,they don't know the cause and that they are afraid that will take time because they have to troubleshoot with MB in Germany. Can you imagine how I felt ,got CLS loaner. My original dealership called them and told me to be patient for couple of days .I called MB USA costumer service immediately and got an executive who told me that they are sorry and will follow with me , Now after 2 weeks service and MB Germany didn't figure out what is wrong . In communication with MB Germany they tried to fix the software but didn't work. Odometer reading now is 251 miles, when entered the service it was 82.They are constantly adding miles while testing and sending the result to Germany .MB USA representative, some kind of executive is baying time telling me to be patient ,dealer from which I purchased the car is also waiting to see...? I know the lemon law in OHIO and Michigan is saying 1 month repair or 3 repairs in year for exchange but it is different in my opinion because I got a deflective car from the beginning .The service overdue warning at all times was present on my Mercedes-Me application. What are you saying my friends? By the way when I got the car I had to adjust some rubber and panels inside, myself , no quality control in Alabama my friends!!!
