Winter tire setup installed. 285/45/22 all around, wheels are 22x10 w/ +37 offset. Had to also order new bolts, after comparing both a 28mm and 33mm (I bought both), 28 had about the same depth as the factory bolts on these.

Nice. Can you share where you got the wheels/tires? And if the aftermarket TPMS just worked out of the box? And did you swap it yourself - i am interested to know if you use any speical jackpad or the general MB one just worked.

I am still waiting for my wheel/tires shipment. The place that i bought from (ExtremeCustoms) ordered a 30MM lug bolt for me.

- THREAD PITCH 14X1.5 BOLT
- RHI 14x1.5 Lug Bolt (30mm) Spline 5 Lug Kit - Black

You may have the wrong size bolts, I think they are all M15x1.25

thanks, i will ask the vendor.

Does the bolt length (28mm, 30mm..etc..) matter based on the wheel you use? Or they should all be the same? I am unsure why vendor put 30mm for me.

thanks

Ebay, they are replicas and I'm fine with that given the application and the thicker aspect of this wheels "arms"

Correct, I used M15x1.25 Lug Bolts Ball Seat for these wheels,
purchased off Amazon. purchased off Amazon.
I bought both 28 and 33mm, and 28 looked best, 30mm would work but not in the size the OP suggested.

My installer put new TPMS on and they stock them, so I don't know what type they were. No issues at all.

I used what the wheel manufacturer recommended based on the wheel thickness. Vossen HF5's used 28MM with a taper seat. Mercedes have a ball seat and more common is the taper seat for aftermarket wheels.

I put the lug nut I received from extremecustoms and it looks a bit short.

the 2nd photo is both the mb lug nut and the black nut I received, on the new 22” mandrus estate wheel pushing in all the way. It looks like the black on is too short.

i installed it anyway but I worry if it too shorts will it cause issues ?

thanks

Rule of thumb you need at least equal depth as the thickness of the lug nut. If 15 /1.25 is 15 mm then is something like 12 turns. But look it up for your exact. 15 divide by 1.25 i believe

You could put the Mercedes bolt in the Mercedes wheel and measure how much thread is sticking out. The aftermarket bolt should stick out of the aftermarket wheel by about the same thread depth.

Thank yo for all of your help. i was able to put up the winter tires and did a trip with it. Extremely happy with my choice.

  • Conti VikingContact 22" tires
  • M15 x 1.25 28mm lugs
  • 111 lb torque.
  • Convex socket from Amazon to take off my OEM lugs.
Thanks again.
