Took delivery of our new 2022 GLS450 a couple weeks ago and it is now the primary child carrying vehicle for the family. The problem is that the kids keep messing with the automatic seat adjustments on the door moving the seats forward and then putting their dirty shoes on the backs of the front seats. Driving us crazy. Is there anyway to lock the rear seat adjustments like you can lock the windows?

 

Did you ever find an answer to this?? We are in the same boat with our 3 year old, now that he can reach the controls.

I had the same issue. My solution was to buy door panel protectors (for pets) and install them. It covers the switches. I also keep seat back protectors on the back of the front seats anyhow.

 

I just yell at the kids. Drives the wife crazy. Realistically, I just showed them what the buttons do and explain that they aren't toys. Though they were 5 when we got the GLS.

 

One person suggested duct taping the buttons but an alternate solution would be to duct tape the child. /s

Thanks for keeping your eyes open. You and other users saved another thread from a scam. Then you and couple others saved the entire forum from a big long-lasting scam. Good eyes! It is a shame that it took years to get rid of the scamming practices for a finally clean forum!

 

I think he uses duct tape to cover his CELs. Problem solved and no coding required. 😜

 

Remove the seat adjustment panel and disconnect the harness.
