Adjustable suspension height - help me understand

I am looking at a 2020 GLS-450 with the standard suspension, not the upgraded one. No off-road package either. My question is around the maximum suspension height available: it looks like you can adjust it all the way up to 3.5" above normal. Can you drive like that? I see that it's the maximum height when in car-wash mode, so what does that mean? Can you drive in car-wash mode?

Okay second question: IMHO running boards make any SUV look weak. Can you remove running boards from a GLS without glaring holes?

You can't drive in carwash mode. You can't ride in off-road mode all the time. You can't ride at max height all the time either.
As soon as you go over a certain speed the car will drop down to a lower or normal height.
You can't drive it jacked up all the time. It looks cool though besides the fact I usually drive from the inside most of the time and can't see it anyway.

Thanks Kosta15auto. But can you drive at low speeds over a bumpy road with the suspension set high? Any idea what the max speed is at that height before the computers take over??

I don't recall the max speed for off-road height or max height. It is like 35mph. It is in the manual I remember. It is not time-based or distance but only speed based. Check it out, set it up at max height and go drive normal. In off-road mode, it is holding into first gear longer which makes sense if you're trying to navigate through challenging terrain.

I believe its about 25mph.

you can drive in car wash mode 3.5'' lift but not very fast. Im hoping to find someone who can unlock offroad + mode wich lifts the GLS to the max 3.5'' hieght just like car wash mode
because it would be useful to have the extra inch of clearnce when off-roading
