Hello everyone,

I am planning on buying GLS in obsidian black but unsure if I should go for AMG package and if I go for AMG should I opt for night package, any thoughts, pros cons etc. thank you.

Either will look nice. If you want a stealth look, the Night Package will do that, however the regular chrome bits will contrast nicely to the paint color if opting for just the regular AMG-Line. Do be warned, even with the Night Package, there are still a fair number of chromes trim pieces about the exterior.

I know it’s personal preference,, I like black accents but my teenage son thinks it’s cheesy looking, anyone else had similar dilemma?

Keep in mind the 22" wheels will likely come with summer only tires. All season exist but are hard to get ahold of.


​​​​​​​AMG appearance is a must IMO for the painted wheel arch trim. I also like the night package on the darker cars as I'm not a fan of the chrome outlines around everything.

The problem w/teenagers is they generally don't pay the bills (or at least help pay for the car itself)!

You only have x number of years before they're off to college and you may be thinking about downsizing from a "family vehicle". Buy what you like!

I found the rear badging, door handles, rear chrome delete etc on Aliexpress for around $200 delivered - the only thing chrome I have left is the exhaust trims. I would suggest gloss black rather than matt.

I think the AMG package dramatically improves the look of the vehicle. It looks kind of wagon/minivanish without the AMG package but the AMG package really makes it look great.

Personally, unless he's paying for the car his opinion wouldn't matter much to me lol
