Will 2022 GLS 450 without Drivers assistance package apply breaks when backing up g?
I am about to buy 2022 GLS 450. However it does not have the drivers assistance package. Getting so many different info about the breaking feature. So many dealerships told me that it will break standard. Also when he told me it will not break without the drivers assistance. The lack of breaking and backing up from a spot is a dealbreaker for me coming from my car that breaks when some thing or someone is detected.

Try posting the question in the X167 or V167 sections. X167 is for GLS. V167 is for GLE on the same platform as the GLS. There are more posters in the GLE V167 section so try there.

It seems like the backup intervention works only with cross traffic situations and if there is a stationary object like a bike on the driveway. I am sure others, more expert than I am will chime in soon.
