Any update on all-season tires for 22" rims?

And not a X167 GLS, however I also reverted to the Nitto’s when it was time to change tires on the GLE43 (even more expensive tires than our GLS😭. But w Nitto’s I bought 4 tires for the price of two front tires and these will last twice as long, if not longer. I went w the Nitto Ridgegrappler in size 305/45/22 all around, just barely fits without any rubbing 👌

I’ve been playing with wheel/tire setups w all my cars, and had the pleasure of once working in that fun industry. The tire makers know what they’re doing and know the oe sizes that the luxe car manufacturers are using for their vehicles.
I used the GLS for hauling merch back and forth for work (in an industrial part of downtown LA) and on the weekends, she’s the family hauler. I opted for a set of 20’s and mounted them onto some beefier tires. Been rocking the overlander look for a good min and have had only the best experience with these tires. They are cheaper (compared to the stock MbZ options) and last forever.
details on the setup (no gatekeeping here)
HRE 305 20x9.5 +32 offset
Nitto Ridgegrapplers 275/55/20 (saw some g wagons w this fitment and looked perfect)

Edit: more questions...
So they must be 3 peak mtn and snow? The pic from the other thread you posted in looks like Big Bear or Lake Arrowhead. We live in a uniqe spot where we drive from 65F to snow in 2hrs. How is the handling? From sunshine to snow? Debating btwn Crossclimate2, Alpin, or other on a second set of 20s.

Certainly don’t expect everyone to go the multi-piece forged route, but be sure to check the load ratings on the cast options before you purchase wheels for the gls, we’re in a heavier car @ 5300lbs.

I finally got the Mercedes "official" 20" winter tire package for my 2024 GLS 580. They are 275/50R20. Sure, the rear tires looks a little skinny, but who cares; I'll use them for the next 3-4 months then back to the 22". The 20" are MUCH more comfortable for sure. Too bad there was no option to get the GLS 580 with 21" from the factory, the 22" are just too much.

It looks great and this is something similar to what I am looking for. I want the overland look and functionally (more protection for rims & ability to actually do some moderate off-roading).

2022 GLS 63 Winter set up
New member here and I have read the posts on winter set up for the GLS. I am trying to get mine dialed in and wanted to see if I could get some help and perspective on my specific model and set up.
I am thinking about the Asanti Black Label ABL-37 22 X 9 with a +38mm offset on all four corners along with…
4X Yokohama Ice Guards H075 - 285/45R22 114T XL
Not overly concerned about appearance in upper Wisconsin/Michigan winters so if there is a little tuck in or show on the quarter panels, I can live with it! Driveablity and safety are the priority.
Would greatly appreciate thoughts! Thanks in advance!
