There is a 2024 GLS450in Atlanta that is advertised on autotrader. It is listed at a little over $116,000. Nice looking vehicle, but not sure it's $116,000 nice.

Is that an ADM price? The dealer here has them all with a $12K ADM. MSRP prices only look like they went up $3k or so. The brooklyn gray one I posted had a $96K sticker optioned like a 2023 that would have been $93k or so. With ADM it was $108k

I don't know if that includes ADM. I looked at the website, RBM of Atlanta, and they don't have the original sticker. No mention of an ADM in the online ad.

Although a smaller interior, X7s start to look a lot nicer at these inflated GLS prices!

yeah, its pretty amazing how comfortable the market has become with the idea of $100k price tags on cars, a depreciating item. Glad we bought when we did (Sept 20), and to be honest, at $85k out the door for ours, when looking at other 3 row big/large SUV’s it was a fair price, even a bit of a bargain. Most expensive car I’ve ever bought, that is for sure. Wife wanted to wait for the Jeep Wagoneer, but when we saw it and the price tag, we simply laughed and walked away from that idea. But now with these market adjustments being applied, doubt we would be fishing in the GLS market in general. Hers was a special birthday present as we were in the throws of covid and homeschooling (one of which is special needs). It was my way of distracting from the doom and gloom in the world at that moment. No regrets, but not sure I could or would be allowed to go down that path again today.

But when a Jeep Wrangler Sahara costs $60k+….who friggin’ knows what a good deal is anymore!

Looks like my dealer forgot to apply an ADM. Unless they will try to sneak that up on me when it comes to actually getting the car in Sep/Oct.

Relative the to X7 Pricing - Dealer next town over has a fully loaded X7 M60i and it hit $124,900. The LCI has actually grown on me I am sure the new GLS580 will get their too.

They do try and sneak it on upon delivery. That’s happened to a lot of people.

This one in my part of the world seems to come without markup for now. Wrong color for my liking.. Not technically my dealer, but owned by the same company.

My dealer showed me build sheets of cars on lots and one coming in. I chose the one that was coming in since it had more options and agreed on MSRP and paid a deposit.
Nearly every other Benz dealer I called admitted they would charge ADM so I didn't even bother visiting them.

I was lucky to find maybe the one dealer in my area not charging ADM!

I'll buy it anywhere in the country to avoid an ADM lol. I'd rather pay to have it shipped than reward crooks.

Pricing out for 580. My 2021 build today is $120K+. I paid about $97K (after discount) in 2021 when I ordered during china flu and the trim options (AMG burnt wood, metal weave, etc.) have been removed and they suck now. Holy smokes how times have changed...

Got mine today. Placed deposit in late April without much real intention of getting it as I was ok to go with a 2023 model but wasn't able to find a car with the options I wanted on the lots with reasonable discount so I ended up taking delivery of the 2024 one I had built. We dealt at MSRP but I only got 3K credit for my old 2020 GLS that I returned to them (could have got more credit for it but wasn't in the mood to haggle and they had offered me one of their first allocations so I let it go). I was yet to see an AMG package without night package until I saw my car so here it is:

Congratulations on the new car! While I have ordered the night package, I quite like this one, too! First impressions?

Thanks! Yes I was divided over the night package myself and as there were no pictures out yet, had also ordered one with night package at another dealership just in case but when I saw it in person I decided to go with this one. Can't go wrong with either one.
Just drove it for a few miles so far and expectedly, it feels very similar to my 2020 GLS (which is good as I really liked the old car). The mbux has nicer graphics and full-size android auto is cool but no big deal. I really like the brown imitation leather and the open pore walnut trim. One positive is that in my old car, the door and body panels did not fully align and many panels were a bit off but the new car seems to have a much better built quality (at lease on the skin).

Looks great with the Bahia brown interior. I'd be interested to know your opinion on the steering wheel controls. My 2021 E63 s has the same wheel and I found it a little frustrating to begin with. My wife drove the car once and swears she'll never drive it again as the screen was jumping around from touching the edge of the controller without realizing it.

Thanks! I didn't find any issues with accidental touch or control being too touchy overall. I think the volume control is the only tricky one as there is no fine tuning with the touch control but fortunately, they kept the volume wheel on the center console.

Loving some of the upgrades, that grill we have to grow on me. The white is always a great choice.

Loving some, not loving others. I can never get over MB’s one package fits all approach.

I really want the smoked chrome grill but not anything else in the night package….I also really want the wheel well arches in vehicle color but nothing else in the AMG package. So, I can buy the car without either package and then pay to replace the grill (which I wont), and then buy the non AMG and paint the arches (which I may).

First-world problems, but at 100k or over, frustrating….

Its not a bespoke vehicle. All mass market vehicles have packages with different attributes and you have to get the package to get them, thats not at all unique to MB.

You can always swap the grille out for the black chrome grille and paint the wheel arches if you want to, but nobody sells a mass produced vehicle with the kind of customizability you're wanting.
