Its not a bespoke vehicle. All mass market vehicles have packages with different attributes and you have to get the package to get them, thats not at all unique to MB.
You can always swap the grille out for the black chrome grille and paint the wheel arches if you want to, but nobody sells a mass produced vehicle with the kind of customizability you're wanting.
I think the lovely people at MB Manufaktur would disagree with you, but I don't know whether they do their wizardry on the US-built cars, too...
Loving some, not loving others. I can never get over MB’s one package fits all approach.
I really want the smoked chrome grill but not anything else in the night package….I also really want the wheel well arches in vehicle color but nothing else in the AMG package. So, I can buy the car without either package and then pay to replace the grill (which I wont), and then buy the non AMG and paint the arches (which I may).
First-world problems, but at 100k or over, frustrating….
This is definitely not an MB only thing, but I agree. The main thing that gets me is the “night package.” If you’re gonna black out the trim, do it to all the trim, not just windows. That makes zero sense to me 🤷🏽♂️.

Is that an ADM price? The dealer here has them all with a $12K ADM. MSRP prices only look like they went up $3k or so. The brooklyn gray one I posted had a $96K sticker optioned like a 2023 that would have been $93k or so. With ADM it was $108k
It's still sitting there today, as is the white one. Hopefully their playing with ADM gets them in the end... for the supposed demand, you'd think they would have been gone by now given this area.
I told my sales guy yesterday (incidentally the same one who I ordered my 2012 C250 from) that ADM is a nonstarter if they want my business. This is a want for me, not a need. I'll probably end up having to go elsewhere, which is a shame because I live a mile away from Euro Germantown.

Yeah my guy emailed me the other day and told me it was still there. Absurd. Same as you, I will not pay an ADM. I'd rather pay to have a car shipped here from CA or something.

House for sale on my street, and that GLS came creeping down our street looking at the house, did a turn around right in front of me (double culdesac) and the husband and wife stopped to say hello and asked about the area. I have to admit, it looked DAMN FINE!! It had MD tags, they’re looking to come over to the VA of DC. The AMG wheels, wheel arches and color all came together quite well. Very SHARP in person!

It's a pretty standardized confog, many dealerships got an identicle car.

I actually drove the grey one about a month ago. I called up to talk to my salesguy and told him I wanted to drive one before I made the decision, and to my surprise when I got there it was out front. When it was in the showroom it was complaining about a low 12v battery, so my guess is they had to get it out and run it.
They wouldn’t play ball on ADP, apparently. I told him to call me when they would sell at sticker and I’d write the deposit for mine, so I came home that day and placed my order elsewhere.
Sounds like they screwed someone over for the additional $12k if it is in fact gone.
I checked out two Twilight Blue models at MB West Palm, one 450 over Catalana and a 63 over Black/Bahia. Both are absolutely gorgeous, I think the new color fits the car incredibly well, and I think the new grill gives it a more masculine appearance. The new interior colors are also an improvement, as I find Espresso Brown was too dark and lacked the contrast that Bahia (which is more of a chocolate) and Catalana (which is like Caramel) offer.

Yes, that dealer is ridiculous about the ADMs, they actually have 23s that have been on the lot for 8,9,10 months with ADMs they refuse to deal on even at MSRP. They have a white one that has been back in a corner totally green and covered in sap for MONTHS. They tried to charge me MSRP on an S Class 2 weeks ago with the 24s coming on a unit they have had for 6 months, and when pressed they gave me $3k off. He refused to respond to any of my comments about MB offering $10,000 in lease cash on the car either, meaning he was going to not give me that. Thats where I bought my 2020 but sadly won't be doing business with them again. Dealers elsewhere willing to fo as much

it could go either way. I can see MBFS not wanting to finance the ADM, but they also need to learn that this isn’t the middle of COVID and people aren’t stupid. I didn’t get to where I am about write a check for a GLS at 41 years old because of letting entities screw me around. I bought my smart and my W204 from them, and it’s the last their sales side will see of me. Every one of them needs to be forced to read a copy of Driven to Delight (awesome book if you’re into CX and the background of Mercedes), because their sales experience is abysmal now.
I ended up going up to Sun Motorcars in Mechanicsburg based on recommendations here. So far, they have been phenomenal and worked to get exactly what I wanted ordered (had to shift allocations to get the 22” Multispoke wheels and Pinnacle on the same build, but they found me a slot).
MB of Richmond finally delivered my gray 450 last week. I was very excited when I got to the dealership and started prodding around one I saw in the lot, just to be disappointed that it had the wrong interior. It turns out that they ordered four other 450s in the same exterior color (gray with Night package). These are relatively cheaper models, the interior is MB Tex and not as much nice stuff to play with, but optically my days of having a unique car (as was the car with my GLC) are over. Looks like those 450s are now also gone. On top of a 63, they also have 2 580s with 22" wheels on the lot, which are VERY close to my car. As far as I can tell, they've only sold one 450 before mine, a white one that the GM drove for a couple of weeks. The 580s have been sitting for a couple of weeks and the 450s are also still all there. No one is thinking about ADM!
