Thanks for posting the service invoice. One takeaway is that the EABC system uses 48V, as many higher-powered non-propulsion systems do (e.g. AMG Active Ride Control, and similar systems on Porsche including PDCC and RAS). Anything that touches 48V should be viewed with caution imo because the tech is beta-level for all car companies. BMW is moving deeper into 48V with mild hybrid propulsion and their success (or otherwise) will be interesting to watch.
Thankfully Porsche has avoided mild hybrid and uses ICE-only, plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and BEV architectures.

Interesting, I have E-ABC on my 2020 580, so keeping my fingers crossed. Interesting the comment about “outdated hood design” and “new software available in each corner and active suspension module”. This may not be safety related and therefore no recall necessary, but I would think they should have a TSB out on this. It would have saved a lot of unnecessary labor hours if they had just done the software update first, instead of last.

I drove on some dirt roads today with a decent amount of randomly strewn ruts and it's amazing how the E-ABC soaks them up. I did the reverse without it and it was jarring.

As another data point, I received the suspension malfunction message in March on my 2020 GLS450 when I was leaving work. It was gone the next morning. About a week later it happened again. It was gone again the next morning, but I took it to the dealer. They found communications faults for left front and right rear suspension strut control units. Performed a software update and I have had no issue since.

Update. After 3 weeks and replacement of the suspension brain, It decided to fix itself when they restarted the car the next day...... With a broken heart, Im still selling it since I' downsizing. Carvana, 66K.

Absolutely, a hybrid touring model. Now that we are soon to be empty nesters, its the right size and it has basicly the same equipment. Of course, its s much less lavish vehicle but, its quiet and roomy, handles well and has a very good suspension . I do however miss the powerful engine but the CRV's acceleration is adequate. Twice the fuel economy is not a bad trade off either.

Nope, and wouldn't had paid for one either. I have a long standing relationship with the dealer and doubt they would have even asked. Counting the tire swap for Michelin cross climate tires, a couple of options (there are few on the touring model) and taxes it ended up in the mid 40's. The CRV is a good deal but it's certainly not "a bargain" any more, yet, I essentially ended up "even" with what I got from the sale of the GLS.

Interesting, no comments on the carfax of a major repair service being done on it either. By reading the carfax, it would appear as all has been rosy the whole time...

It would be great if we made a pact that all lemons or trade-ins with issues get their VINs posted (after it's relinquished) on here so no other members buy those used vehicles with major issues.

no I know, but there is no entry on the carfax of that repair or visit to the dealership for it. Goes to show that dealerships will report selectively to carfax, like routine service and whatnots, but a major repair….like it never happened. Exhibit A on why you should always run the vin through the manufacturer’s dealership service center to see the real history for used car purchases.
