2024 GLS450
1) The GLS global supply is still fairly tight as far as I know. There just aren't many to go around compared to an X7, for instance.
2) 700 miles is 7% of a typical yearly lease allotted mileage. It is not an insignificant number and the car should be discounted.
I would want to know if this car is "nicely equipped" or "bare bones". Either way, if I were in your position, I prefer to pay MSRP only for brand new cars that are below double digit miles or close to it!
- You’re sourcing from a dealer operating within a major metro area.
- The GLS you want has the AMG line package and is otherwise reasonably optioned.
- The dealership has less than 5 of similar GLS on the floor in stock.
But if you’re just some person showing up from a decent trek away looking for savings, it's MSRP even on the slightly test-driven ones.

It could have been used for test drives, a dealership employee could have used it as a demo for personal use for a short time, or it could have been given out as a service loaner. Was it transferred from another dealer and driven? Was it sent to have window tint, paint protection film, or any other aftermarket items done? Are they telling you how it accrued 700 miles?
I would hope they could shed some light on this.
If they are firm on price, it is likely your decision to make. Is this the color and options you want or is it a 24 that you are willing to buy? All of those factor into this decision.

If it checks all your boxes, I would consider buying the car since it's available and would be covered by the new car warranty.
As long as you're paying MSRP, the dealer may have no issues throwing in all-weather mats and/or other accessories!
I don't know if you were considering the X7 but BMW has crazy incentives and a low 2.99% APR right now (delivery before Jan 2)!

- It's truly EXACTLY what you want (i.e. you'd order it the same way)..., and
- You're champing at the bit to get a vehicle ASAP...., and
- The car doesn't smell like a chain smoker, gym locker, or wet dog...
BUT, if there's even one or two specs you'd prefer to change on the build, then I'd be patient and order one, since you're not saving money by being in a hurry now.
Let us know what you decide!

And I'm serious about the smell thing... Always defer to Seinfeld regarding automotive deal-breakers:

And on top of that this was probably driven like crazy while still in its break in period. I would never buy a demo car.
This is not some rare hypercar. I see dozens of them in stock at my local dealers.

My choice was easy: every dealer was asking for ADM except one. I went w/the one that didn't charge ADM!
