My guess is that what you are seeing is just a result of your drive assist and lane departure warning/assist settings going back to factory conditions. I actually like it and don't mind it, but you might be able to reduce it's sensitivity via settings. You can navigate through the setting and cancel it or just ask Elebest if it can be coded it off completely. None of us from what I've seen has experienced anything beyond the normal mbenz operation for that feature... Maybe Elebest can code it off completely for you if you don't like it. I personally like to keep that feature.

Hello guys. I am experiencing the famous torque braking. Could that be caused by the new head unit I installed from Elebest? My GLS didn’t suffer from that prior to the install. I remember there was a code to prevent that but not sure if I should ask Elebest to take care of it. Any suggestions would be appreciated it.

For now yes, but I was referring to the overall concept. If you look at the complete list of badges, there are some cool ones, but one would still need to earn them as they don't consider previous history. For the current ones that most people earned, yeah, at least it's somehting lol. Still cool especially with the other yet-locked ones.

it is not related to the ABA. It feels like a rough downshift. I remember previous owner experiencing the same thing. I need to research it on the forum.
I am overall happy with the head unit. With a few exceptions. I have my phone connected to mbux and smart box at the same time. Otherwise I lose a few functions like answering phone calls. However, every time i receive a phone call I have to switch my Bluetooth to mbux instead of CarPlay, otherwise the phone call won’t work.(we can’t hear each other) I have to do this on every call.
when I want to play music, I have to go to the main page and select media, otherwise it won’t work either.
let me know once you have code to fix that. Thank you.

hi, if you mean the brake intervention when you change lane without signal, or the ABA active brake assist: they can be coded off.
For cars with DAP (drive assist package): brake intervention can be coded off.
for cars without DAP: Active Lane Keep Assist setting (standard, sensitive, off, warning) can be can be coded to memorise last mode. Active Brake Assist also can be memorised to off state like the video below:

ILS+ coding can not be done by enet alone. You need search and buy OpenPort 2.0 in Amazon at around $40. Or any other device you have in hand which support J2534. If you don’t have any, op2 is the most cost effective choice.

ILS+ coding can not be done by enet alone. You need search and buy OpenPort 2.0 in Amazon at around $40. Or any other device you have in hand which support J2534. If you don’t have any, op2 is the most cost effective choice.

That’s awesome @SW20S !. Glad it worked well for you. I expect (and hope) all my codings to also survive my next service visit including the recall according to @EleBest although he said he’ll guarantee a free re-code, but i prefer to not bother with it again.
I have a number of coding services that Elebest did for me and it will take a ton of time to re-do (Snow mode, individual last-drive mode memory, Maybach suspension drive comfort/mode, ILS+ headlights, dual navigation (MBUX maps and Carplay) running at same time, as well as Carplay typing while driving, and the CarPlay Full Screen with wireless). Wow…I really appreciate having access to these folks; but credit goes to the great forum communities like this.

So i went ahead and purchased and installed the EleBest solution (MBUX 549 headunit) over the weekend. As others have already stated, product was shipped out on time and received within a week or so. Max from EleBest was on hand to help the technician who did the install for me. Product works as seen in the videos, its fast and pretty quick to connect. A couple of things that are not that obvious, there is a small wireless dongle that still needs to be plugged into your USB C carplay slot to make it work. The biggest draw back for me at this time however, is the fact that you will lose access to your 4G LTE that allows the car to connect to the internet, as such Live Traffic and some features on Hey Mercedes that can get you the weather, or jokes (my kids love this feature) etc. have stopped working. The install was done at my local MB Dealer and we tried unsuccessfully several times, while connected to Xentry, to get the 4G LTE to connect, and this is a bit of a let down for me because, the car also gets driven by non Apple folks and it would have been great to have the car still be able to connect to the internet for the features i previously mentioned. If anyone has a work around to get Live Traffic or get the car to connect to the internet do let me know.

Dealer can activate it without any issue, a few our customer cars in USA, Canada, Demark, Italy, German, Sweden, Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia, etc. Some indi. workshop can make it too.
And this 4G in MBUX will not affect the main functions of Mercedes me app in your handphone app. Remote lock/unlock, remote engine start, remote checking vehicle location, geo fencing, all works well, so quite a lot of them dont want to bother to get the 4G back, surely if you want it back, just need 1-2 days in dealer side.

No worry about this, if you buy head unit from us, you can get the 4G back to work in your dealer side (there is some charges from dealer). If not work, you can get refund from us.

@EleBest was kind enough to send me a small technical narrative as a backup in case they face some challenges but they never needed it.
Having said that, even during the many months with this carplay upgrade before I got the 4G LTE recovered by dealer, I never lost any of the main Mercedes me app functions. Everything was still working even before i brought back LTE, such as Remote lock, remote engine start, location of the car and all app stuff. The only function that LTE enabled for me is they "hey mercedes" web search function. Ideally I never bothered about it but just mentioned during my oil change.

ILS+ enabling speed is now adjustable, current default ILS+ enabling speed is 32mph, now we can change it to lower like 10mph. Thanks
