Depends on the car IMO, in your GLE53 the sport wheel looks great. It looks out of place on an ordinary GLS450.

I didn't see one on a Porsche, but I haven't even been in a 9 series in decades. Air cooled guy except SUVs.

Yes the pre-facelift steering wheel in both sport and non sport form is just better, with physical buttons, the design imo is also better.

Well, porsche only has one button and it was the sport response button and rotating knob to switch drive modes.
