BURMASTER Surround Audio System in 2024 GLS 450

Hello Everyone,
I have a Burmester® Surround Sound System , when i turn on Music with a Good Beat song I am starting to feel like i have a Speaker under my Left foot,
so if i increase volume I am feeling as if the speaker is directly placed under my left foot ,has anyone felt this ?? is it normal ?? i can sense the vibrations of the speaker literally
any suggestions ?? i have AMG Floor mats do you think its because of those mats ??

Thans,
Rami.

Yes, there are speakers that Burmester calls "Frontbass" in the footwell -- one on the left side and one on the right side. You will feel it significantly in some circumstances. Can always move your left foot back a bit and it goes away...

The Frontbass tech could be the basis of a future military application (like the Weirding Module from 1984's Dune) but not in consumer audio!

It's so disturbing that I've thought about disconnecting that speaker but I'm either too lazy or risk averse to do the job (my left foot doesn't have ears)!
If you enjoy Bass Shakers or willing to pay extra for the D-Box chairs in the theaters, I can see how this may be enjoyable but it's definitely not for me!

I think some of it is how people listen to music (I like natural sound, so don't usually crank the bass up) and some of it is where people put their left foot when they drive. There are several people who can't stand it, so it clearly is a problem for some, however, it doesn't bother me and there aren't that many people that complain about it so it isn't a universal issue. There are a couple reviews of the sound system and none seem to mention it either -- so this is definitely a your mileage may vary situation,

We must not be talking about Burmester 3D here, because the bass is extremely well-balanced in all the applications I've heard.
The standard Burmester is s POS IMO, although occasionally an over the air update improves things.

OTOH, it seems that most of the loaner cars I've been in have the bass cranked up to Max, which is pretty annoying.
Operator error, in that case.

Edit: If you crank up the bass in a 3D system, you feel it in your feet, your butt, and your chest.

not quite sure why people think a strong bass system means the the system is good, good quality music depends on many other things.

The OP didn't specifically call out the 3D upgraded version of the Burmester system.

What's your equalizer setting? Flat?
I think the most I used was +1 or maybe +2 bass. +2 saturated the car with bass.
Do you set to Drivers Seat focus?

I miss mine. My order locked before I could add 3D. (1 weekend to lock. 😕 )
